The staff was very nice and was always open to give recommendations for restaurants food. Really anything you asked. The rooms need to be updated. Wallpaper was pealing off the walls in the bathroom. The water pleasure wasn’t the best. The furniture was very dated. The dead bolt on the door didn’t work. I gave it 4 starts because the lobby & restaurant/bar were clean and again the staff was friendly. Although tour last night wasn’t the best. We wanted to stay at the hotel for dinner and drinks since we had an early flight. Our group was sitting in the bar/restaurant and this guy not sure if he was a local tried to start a fight with one of our family member for no reason we were all confused as to what was happening. I had to get in between them at one point. The bartender that was working did nothing to de-escalate the problem. Thank God nothing happened. We just left and went to our room but it kind of left the sour taste in our mouth that the staff didn’t like kick this guy out but again all in all we had a great time.

idk who thought it was a good idea to put a hotel near a bell tower lol but not being able to sleep in bc the bell tower rings every 15 minutes was annoying. Also walls are paper thin and you will hear the baby two rooms down having a meltdown at 3 am. The location was good for the price though, very walkable.

I left a wallet in the car, when I sent valet to go get the wallet they bought the wallet back with only two dollars and there was more than two dollars in it. I told the front desk who was the kindest people at this hotel I told the people at the front desk they took $20 off of my parking during my stay. When checking out I had the worst experience with the valet attendant she was very hateful and aggressive and had the nastiest attitude. Beautiful hotel, very nice clean we ate in the restaurant the restaurant staff was brilliant. The only thing this hotel lacked was the disrespectful valet and I’m not saying they stole money out of my kids while it but I know before I put my keys in my hand I know exactly how much he had in his wallet and I explained that to the front desk.

My husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary in New Orleans, December 14th - December 17th, 2017. We had a pleasurable stay at the Renaissance New Orleans Pere Marquette French Qtr. Our room was clean and spacious! The hotel staff was exceptionally nice and greeted us each time in our going/comings. One staffer that really stood out was Glen; Glen treated us like family and was a pleasure to speak with he gave us some very insightful guidance during our stay. Thanks again Glen! When we visit NOLA again (and we will), I feel most certain that we will stay with you guys again! Thanks for the great hospitality! :) - William and Christi Mitchell

I’ve stayed in A LOT of hotels in New Orleans (we only live a little over 2 hours away), but this was my first time at the Renaissance.... and likely will not be my last! I have ZERO complaints, but tons of compliments to give — from the staff to the decor, I loved it all! We were wanting somewhere between the Superdome & the French Quarter and this was PERFECT!!! The rooms & decor was eclectic, comfy & unique (giant Jenga & Connect Four games in the lobby!) and the STAFF went above and beyond in assisting us. Special shoutout to the concierge and baggage handlers who went out of their way to help me out on SEVERAL occasions (there were a couple, but I know one of their names was Cornell — many thanks). Great asset with all of the staff!!! Very pleased with my stay & will definitely recommend this hotel to friends & family!
