Stayed March 5-8. The room was nice and clean. The hotel was surprisingly quiet even with kids playing in the hallway.

Avoid this hotel. Rooms unclean, sheets looked unclean, one bedsheet looked like menstrual cycle accident had occurred, and there was a pile of used dirty towels in a closet of the supposedly clean room. We asked about parking, and valet very expensive - beyond average - attendant informed us there was a garage “down the street” half the price,(but still expensive for 1 night). We chose the garage. We had to carry our luggage approximately 1/2 block to hotel. The next morning we saw there was a garage next to hotel. The area was very sketchy, uncomfortable - including a group loitering with one person wearing a ski mask. There was a close by CVS we went to, an employee unlocked the door to let us in, then immediately locked it back after we entered. We have an Aloft in our home area that was classy- this isn’t anywhere near that quality. When we checked out, we asked for a receipt, was informed “our system is down, we will email the receipt”. That was 6 days ago, still no receipt. We had other family members staying at DoubleTree, it was a better area, comparable price, very nice rooms. Totally regret choosing Aloft. I wasn’t even comfortable complaining while I was there, we stayed to get a little rest and then got out asap.

Friendly front desk and house keeping throughout our 4 day stay. Check in at 4 our room was not ready and took about 45-50 min. The room was spacious plenty of towels and if we needed more house keeping was helpful. The fire alarm went off and all guests had to evacuate at 5:30 in the morning. The fire alarms went off a second day so that was difficult to walk down 15 flights of stairs. The pool was not available the first day as there was an accident in it. The second day a couple was spotted doing the deed. We decided not to swim with our family due to those two incidents. Parking was easy a block away for $8 during the day and street parking at night or all day $25. Our pet enjoyed the stay and there are two parks nearby Lafeyette Square and Duncan Plaza (use green space on the street) if the plaza isn’t your thing.

I like the games for the kids in the lobby, the pool area was nice but this hotel has definitely changed since my last stay. I had to search different floors for a working ice machine, there was no concierge. We were told to go to the Sheraton to use their concierge. The lobby couches were stained and nasty and it’s takes so long at the front desk to either check in/out or pay for items sold in the lobby. I usually love aloft the area is nice but for a few more dollars I’ll go to a little more upscaled hotel.

The beds are not comfortable so be prepared for this especially if your staying several nights as my family did. Also traveled to somewhere warm and still didn’t get to swim. Pool heater was broke.

The reception staff was very welcoming and friendly. They gave me the corner room so we can have a good view of the city from 2 streets! I also got extra complimentary tickets on top of the already included breakfast for 2! Because it was my birthday. I told them I will comeback to this hotel on my next birthday if I decide to be in NOLA for it. Look for ANITRA next time you check in! Very very helpful and nice receptionist. The head of their security/valet was just as nice! I failed to ask for his name but he was a very very accommodating guy. Overall, very pleasant stay! Even my family gave me good comments for choosing this hotel!

Aloft was aesthetically pleasing and the staff was more than willing to help lend a hand. So thankful for their kind faces and the gorgeous hotel itself. And so many fur babies!

Hotel is nice, and updated. Overall we had a nice stay. Only issues were bed was hard and the water pressure was lacking in our room. Unfortunately, that will be enough to deter my family from staying again.
