Great place to stay. Close to everything. Rooms are very clean. Staff is friendly and kind — they gave my children chocolates when they stopped by to check if we needed anything. Cory at the front desk was very helpful and nice. Everything was perfect to the smallest detail.

My girlfriend & I decided to go take her two grown kids to Mardi Gras in Nola. One of her kids was a 20 year old young man, the other a 19 young lady. Her oldest young man decided to go back to the room so that he could get changed and get a headstart. The rest of us remained on Bourbon st for about an additional hour. Then head back to the hotel.
We chose the Ritz Carlton because of its storied service and attention to its clients.
As the young man returned to the room, he had in his possession, a room key, & an ID. But he was not allowed to enter the hotel, & When we arrived, he was sitting on the curve, surrounded by security for no reason. He was wearing shorts some beads around his neck & tennis shoes.
When we asked why he was not allowed back into the room security replied That he was not allowed to go in because he did not have a shirt on.
I understand at the Ritz hotel and its affiliates have a policy in place for a variety of items such as this. When we spoke to the doorman, he was rude and almost did not leave us in the hotel ourselves.
We demanded to speak with the manager on the third-floor. His sister sat with him at the entrance on Canal St. As we explained this to the front desk staff; to our surprise, the young man, was in the building, walking towards the elevators, wearing a TUB TOP!” His sister was walking behind him. my girlfriend & I we were appalled that instead giving him a towel or a robe; his only option was to apparently get a tube top and pu

The lobby of the ritz is alway festive at Christmas. We love the Davenport lounge. It is a family tradition for us during the holidays

The first point of contact was the valet. Michael was AMAZING! Very friendly and eager to help. The lady who checked me in was great as well. She was very pleasant and helpful. There was an issue with the last guy in valet.- a black gentleman (I will be taking that issue up with management) Once in my room for the evening, there was quite a bit of noise. Hard to sleep with sirens passing by and there was a baby or small child who cried all morning. (Before 7:30 AM) that woke me up. For the cost of the room and having valet drive my car as he did out of anger or frustration, was disheartening. This was definitely not the ideal hotel. I dont think that i would stay at this hotel again nor would i recommend it to anyone. At these prices i expect my experience to be stellar. Very disappointing!

I’m a breastfeeding mom who was away from my baby for a few days. The staff was kind enough to bring a fridge and microwave into the room to help accommodate my unique requirements. Much appreciated!
