The staff was kind and accomodating. However both beds had damp sheets and pillow cases put on them. We tried to leave the beds pulled apart to dry during the day and like dummies forgot to put do not disturb on the door. So we came back from a Haunted city tour at 12:30 am to wet sheets. It made sleeping very uncomfortable both nights we were there.
The coffee shop is kinda gross, the couch in the business/waiting area is soiled on the arm rests and where a head would rest.
These things would keep me from coming back a third time. First visit 5 years ago was not like this.
Also, not by any fault of the hotel but the FQ is getting so much worse with homeless sleeping every where, yelling at you for no reason and asking for money. I've never seen a city close to this bad and I travel often. It's gross. The scabby drug addicts coming up to me and my child at night was frightening to say the very least.

This was a very nice hotel. Walkable to everything in French Quarter. The bar and restaurant in the hotel had really good food and drinks. The staff was really nice. The only downside to my family was the hotel was very close to Bourbon street and we had a balcony on street side. It was very noisy at night till about 3 am and then at 6 am you would hear garbage trucks and power washers going off. I would suggest getting a balcony with courtyard view for a quieter night sleep.

Very walkable to everything in the Quarter but can’t hear any of the noise at night (except other people coming back to their rooms which the hotel can’t control). The staff were great and very friendly. Our kid threw up on the bed the one night and they brought us new sheets and towels right away even though it was 10pm. The room was bigger than I expected it to be right in the Quarter also.

My wife and I go to New Orleans every year to visit family and we always stay at the Hotel St. Marie. We stayed there four times already and will come back again.

Hotel St. Marie is the perfect place to stay! We absolutely loved our room. We had a balcony with a table and two chairs to enjoy while listening to the music of Bourbon Street. The layout of our room was perfectly designed with ample storage for our family of four. Excellent location to fabulous restaurants and tourist activities.

This was my 2nd vacation spent at Hotel St. Marie. I had been there 10yrs or more ago. I basically had the same great service and experience with the hotel - except they have upgraded some things since then (thankfully). In general they improved things to keep up with the wear and tear over time. My family was very pleased - only grip was in-hotel Restrurant/bar doesn’t have enough family option seating; but there are plenty of other places to see and eat within walking distance.

Hotel St Marie is located pretty much equidistant from every thing NOLA has to offer. We were able to get to the business district, Marigny, Bywater, and St Louis cemetary number 1 in about 20 minutes. Staff was incredibly nice. The only complaint I have is if the kids in the room next to yours are screaming, theres little to nothing youll be able to do about the sound. Seeing as thats no ones fault but bad parents, 5/5 for Hotel St Marie!

I try not to stay at the big hotel chains when I travel. In New Orleans that has been a hit or miss. Hotel St. Marie was a big hit. They're not a small, family owned hotel, but not a huge, nationwide chain. Clean, modern rooms with balconies, friendly staff, perfect location in the French Quarter. Centrally located for an easy walk to everything. A block from Bourbon Street, but far enough to be quiet, a few blocks from Jackson Square. Easy walk to trolleys and public transport to take you out of the city.
Another plus that I didn't know about when I booked it was that there is a restaurant with great food, bar to grab a to-go drink or stay in and have a bite to eat some food from the restaurant. AND a cafe for coffee and breakfast.
