Wingate by Wyndham Lafayette Airport

The smell of the room was awful. Our family was there for a funeral. Some were given discounts; others were not. Because we we prepaid threw Expedia, the hotel would not make any adjustments. Really a bad experience and disappointing

Me and my family traveled here from out of state to stay for the weekend. Bed sheets and pillows were nasty , hair and brown stains on items. I spoke to front desk associate , all she did was said she couldn’t believe it and gave new sheets and pillow cases. Bathroom also was nasty , carpet had a smell . Very dissatisfied with it all together.

There were baby roaches in my room. I pulled the mattress and the box spring was stained and filthy. I am happy I always bring cleaning supplies when I travel for situations like these. I was extremely unhappy about my room. The front desk attendants were very nice and the surrounding areas made me feel safe.

Usually I have no complaints when it comes to this hotel but today, I do. I had 2 problems during my stay. First problem was my room wasn’t cleaned right. I found dog hair by the bathroom sink and 2 human hair on the shower wall. Disgusting! There were sticky stuff on the dresser as well. The second problem was the ac started leaking and cause the floor rug to be soaking wet. My kids clothing and and suitcase had damaged. I called the front desk about the situation and she was talking like it was not her problem. She didn’t even care to come look to confirm if the ac was leaking. Then there was no rooms available. Even worse! Then the next morning, maintenance man came banging on the door like he was the cops, starling me and my kids, while we were still sleeping. Talking about our ac is leaking water by the front desk. We had to checkout early because this was too much. Front desk or the maintenance man didn’t even apologize. Worse one day stay ever!

The communication suck, the elevator was broke and I have a disabled child and the bathroom had mold on ceiling and walls.

Dropped off scouts for a week camp. Checked into room 328. No A/C, burned out bulbs, and destroyed furniture. Asked Gabbi if we could switch. Nope. Place was full and Gabbi said the room was cool enough and if we didn't like it, we could go to the Best Western. Contacted the camp and we were able to switch out for one of the rooms they had on hold. Room 312. Went to room. Linens were stripped and laid out on the floor. Called Gabbi and told her to bring us some sheet. She said housekeeping was not there. I said bring the sheet because we are grown women who know how to make a bed. She came up and we did it together. She asked where the blanket was. I said it was on the floor and considered dirty so she needed to bring a clean one. King bed, but only other clean blanket in the whole hotel was a queen size. That would do. My daugher was staying in a double queen on first floor, so we switched rooms with her. Room 117 had a broken lamp shade. Middle of the night the elevator was broken. We witnessed a poor young mother coming down the stairs carrying her baby, car seat, luggage and pack and play. Unacceptable! Breakfast was one giant carb overload. Fellow guests look miserable. I paid $133 for this room. Good gracious I have stayed in Super 8s that are nicer and for half the price. I have to return to LFT in two days. YOU CAN BET YOUR A$% THAT i WILL NOT STAY AT THIS DUMP! I will write a letter to the camp and request they find an alternate facility for their programming.

I always stay there when I am home visiting family. My experience had always been pleasant.

I made reservation at this hotel on May 1 for dates 05/4-05/06. We arrived at 11:00pm on Friday night (we drove in after we got off work at 5) to check in, only to be told that the computer system had booked our reservations for the wrong dates. He told us they booked them for June 4-6 instead of May. Which was a complete lie. I had my email confirmation with the correct dates and showed him AND HE STILL LIED. What really happen was they thought we weren't coming so they gave our rooms away to someone else. After a 3 hour drive down and having three small children who were tired and all they wanted to do was go to bed, we had to find another hotel for the night. We were able to find a room for Friday night, but the hotel did not have one for Saturday night. So we had to load all of our stuff up early Saturday morning due to us having baseballs games early( we were in town for a baseball tournament) and find another hotel for Saturday night. To say this experience was a nightmare is an understatement, and to have the hotel staff blatantly lie to you about your reservation is absolutely unprofessional and uncalled for. We will not be booking at this hotel again ever.

One night family stay. Clean hotel. Quiet hotel and area around. Bigger tv than expected in room. Nice breakfast and area. Nice staff. Would recommend and stay again.
