Horseshoe Bossier Casino & Hotel

Upon check-in at 8 p.m. was told that the hotel was overbooked by 40 rooms and was turned away; meanwhile, the guest in line behind me(VIP guest) were being checked in. At 1 a.m.was told by a different manager that if I wanted to come back my reservation was still open and she could check me in, the problem was that I had already driven five hours the opposite direction! In those five hours, I stopped at every exit with lodging looking for an alternative place to spend the night along the interstate, even contemplated parking in a police department parking lot to sleep in my car( with two small children) due to every hotel being completely booked due to storms. I finally found a hotel in Fortney,TX at 3 a.m. that had a room. We travel a lot, but I will never stay at this property again!

Great location to meet family in the Shreveport-Bossier area. Only downside was the pool was closed.

Pool was under maintenance room was large but it been nice if there was a couch to put our third kid on. Beds were for the most part comfortable just a little more firm than what I like. Tub was huge but shower was a little tricky on getting the right temperature set.

We stopped with our family for a quick nights stay passing through town. Our toilet was stopped up when we got in the room.

I like this hotel but wish there was something for kids to do. I love the makeup mirror but add some USB ports and some outlets near the bed so that people can chrge their phones.

I checked in on 22 December 2023 late evening. The room was dirty and I went to the front desk staff to report it. I left the next day to enjoy thanksgiving with the family and came back late evening and the Room was still not cleaned. I went back to the front desk the next morning and told the staff if the room was not cleaned I will be checking out. I left and came back and the room was not cleaned and I checked out on 12/24/2023. I need a refund because I did not stay the full length.

Our room was Great. This is what we didnt like: No coffee pot in the room, no cleaning of room until we checked out, no room service, no valet parking, most restaurants and bars were closed, wine bar only opened three days a week on the days we were not there. My entire family of approximately 15 people stayed here in 2014 and the place was awesome. It has been ruined and they blame COVID. We will "never ever" stay there again.

Great hotel just not a lot for the kids to do No kids pool just adult pool

Rooms were nice and clean, restaurants were good, not allowing persons under 21 into the pool area was inconvenient for a family.

Booked a non smoking room because of our children being with us. After setting at the front desk for over an hour with our kids they finally found 1 room but it was smoking room. Went up stairs and the bathroom was disgusting with cigarette butts all over the floor. Bed had ash’s not only on it but also under the covers! Horrible!
