My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Paddle Wheel Inn. The Inn was clean and the staff were lovely. It was located beside the river and is very picturesque, there is a lovely outside seating area right next to the river. I was extremely impressed and will certainly stay there again when in the area.

This is my second 10 day stay at the Paddle Wheel. The mattresses are wrapped in plastic which is not comfortable but is clean so pick your priorities. The rooms are spacious and the deck on the river side are wonderful. We spend all our spare time out there. There is no maid service during your stay, but you can ask for what you need and put the trash can in the hallway every day to be emptied. Since it’s the only decent place to stay within 30 miles any direction, it’s a good thing it’s a great place. The coffee is terrible. I bring an electric kettle and keep Starbucks lattes in the fridge. I recommend you bring flip flops to wear in the shower so you don’t kill yourself. They are the old fashioned slick tubs. I never heard another guest in the hallway, but my friend told me she could hear me clearly talking on the phone when she walked passed my room, just fyi. We don’t eat in the fish restaurant on the river (family bias based on past experience) but we love the Steak Pit. There is also a good bar across the street but it’s only open on weekends. You’ll have to go into Oregon or Mt Morris for breakfast and lunch. In my experience few hotels can hold up to a 10 day stay over several years. The Paddle Wheel does.

Overall a great place to stay overnight. Our TV was 13", and I am not kidding. Would be nice to let us know there was no shampoo or conditioner in room. You can ask for it at the desk if you were aware but no one is at the desk from 8pm to like 9am.
