SureStay Hotel by Best Western Whittington Rend Lake

The good, the OK and the ugly: The Good: Very friendly staff and smooth check in. Property was clean (other than being a swamp -see ugly below). Rooms were very large and would be good for a family if the UGLY below was fixed. The OK Breakfast was very minimal, and beds were just ok. Glad it was not a multi-night stay. The Ugly: Dehumidifiers in the hallway. Carpet in room felt soggy and entire atmosphere was humid. AC in room would not adequately cool, even on lowest setting. Was overly hot all night. Woke up with a bad sinus headache. If I had not checked in so late at night after traveling for many hours, I would have left and tried to go elsewhere but at that point it was a safety issue, because I was so tired, so I stayed. Reserved a room at this place because it was rated at a 9 on Hotels.com. How it got that rating is beyond me. I travel this route frequently but will not stay at this property again and cannot recommend unless you are desperate, particularly at the amount they are charging. I feel ripped off.

Our stay was one night as we traveled home from a family vacation. The room, the bed, and the breakfast was perfect, and we felt refreshed to go and finish our trip home.

It was the night from h&ll. At midnight a family with 6 kids checked in. They ran the halls above us for an hour. I went to the front desk to complain it did no good

I asked the girl at registration for recommendations for supper. She recommended a family owned restaurant just not far from the hotel. I am glad I asked and that she was very helpful.

Such an amazing hotel! It's either new or recently remodeled as everything looks new. I was surprised at how clean it was. The owners must really care about their property and image. The breakfast was great. My child loved the cat that lives on the property. We will definitely stay there again if we're ever in the area.

Perfect for my family of 4 and food was great!

Easy check in, room assignment on same floor as other family members, elevator was quick, clean and convenient. The room was spacious, very clean. Microwave, mini fridge in room. Breakfast was nice- sausage, eggs, waffles, pastries, bagels, various breads, cereals, juice, yogurts And lots of coffee. Staff was professional and friendly. They knew most guests by name. I stayed here in December 2021 and was pleased with facility. Glad I stayed here this visit too. I would definitely stay here again Location is immediately off the interstate, we’ll lit parking area, Safe atmosphere

Extremely clean and spacious room. Loved the shampoo, conditioner and body soap dispenser in shower. Staff was very accommodating offering us a 1st floor room near the back door to ease taking our dog outside. Nice hot breakfast. For the price it was excellent. I wish we could have stayed for more than one night. Spent 4 nights on the road visiting family and this one beat the other 3 hotels hands down even those more expensive. I would highly recommend this place.

Very nice hotel. Clean, comfortable beds. They offer hot breakfast items and have reasonable rates. We have family in area and are frequent guests at hotel. Always enjoy our visits!
