Nice hotel, but bar/restaurant area was a mess. Couldn't sleep well because of kids running the halls.

We had a great stay, and it is a very comfortable place to enjoy visiting family in the Quad cities!

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times in the past because I frequently have to come to the quad cities to visit family. However this time it seems that housekeeping is not really doing a good job at cleaning. The pull out sofa had no bedding in the room nor any pillows. Also there was a whole bag of chip crumbs and pieces underneath the cushions and all over the mattress. The floor had appeared to not be vacuumed in quite some time. Also the people at check in were not friendly and seemed to be inconvenienced by doing their job checking me in. Also there was no pool towels

What I didn't like is they let the kids take over the hall ways and elevators, lack of control

While this hotel is aesthetically pleasing and is in a great location, the service and people who work there are sorely lacking. We walked in to check-in and the front desk guy treated us with apathy and had an attitude, even before it was our turn. He spoke to us in a dismissive and condescending tone.
The room was nice and clean, however, it did not provide the promised and advertised service of basic cable. When talking to the front desk, we were told to 1. Fix it ourselves. 2. Maintenance would come the following day (which theydid not). 3. We can chromecast from our phones.
Watching TV is a basic amenity and we should not need to chromecast from our phones. They spoke to us like we were children, were extremely dismissive, and again, condescending. For a hotel as nice as this, I expect to have the basic privilege of watching TV in the room I am paying for without having to run around and try and find a place that has the CFB games on.
We were moved rooms for this and the TV still did not work, we were again dismissed.
Furthermore, the service at the restaurant at the top of the hotel was lacking as well. Standing in line for 20 minutes for one drink and needing to chase down a bartender to close out my tab.
The hotel is nice and the river is beautiful, but it doesn’t make up for the rude and apathetic staff.
It's the people that make the place and it’s extremely unfortunate that the staff here do not treat their paying customers with basic respect.

The rooms were excellent and so roomy for our family of 5! The bedroom had a separate room/door from the living space so it made it so easy for the baby to sleep and let my other kids play. It was like having all the comforts of home while we were away!

The hotel was very nice, but the kids were disappointed that the heater in the pool was not working. Also, under the couch was not the cleanest.

Bathroom doors need replaced. Maintenance had to come rescue one of our guests out of the bathroom with a crowbar as it was stuck and the handle fell off on the inside. Very thankful it did not happen while I was alone with my young children. Beds were sunken in. Pool was also too cold even for the kids.

We had a family trip planned for 5, with reservations for a 2queen bed suite with a sofa sleeper. Upon arrival we were told our room was sold out that all the had available was a king bed suite with sofa sleeper. No cots or additional options to actually accommodate 5 people. We are Hyatt members and there was no attempt to call us and notify months ago that they ‘were sold out of our room choice’ at the time as booked. We clearly overpaid for the room we reserved vs received. The icing on top, upon entering our room the toilet handle was broke off and flush not functioning. Thankfully they fixed that during the hours we stepped away.

This hotel has really gone downhill. I've stayed here so many times since it's opened, however, recently the rates have become heavily discounted. The weekend I stayed during this most recent visit, the hotel had over 200 children and families from various sports teams. They ran through the halls, banged on the doors, and made barking noises at each other. They broke the ice machines and left garbage and food in the hallways. One of them even left to use toothbrush sitting on a table. It was disgusting. The hotel staff were completely overwhelmed. There were also several children's pool parties that were here. The stay was completely loud and noisy and I couldn't sleep. I had to call security to have them go next door and tell a group of teenage boys to keep it down. I don't think I'll be staying here again for a while until the rates come up. The prices are just too cheap and it's been turned into a hellscape. It's really sad. This was a beautiful hotel and the location is wonderful. The staff are kind but I'm not sure what the management is thinking dropping the rate so low that the hotel is turning into a cheap motel. They're literally going to ruin the hotel if they don't raise the rates. In the interim, I'll stay at the Current which is an autograph collection hotel or the Hotel Blackhawk. As a business traveler, I'm looking for something quiet and clean. This used to be my go-to hotel, but I don't think I'll be staying here anymore
