Very good experience for the whole family. The indoors heated pool and the terrace were a great place to hang and to enjoy! Thanks Sonesta and Chicago! We’ll be back again.

My wife and I stayed in a double queen suite while I was recovering from a surgery I was having at Rush. The suite was spacious, clean, and well equipped. Breakfast at the downstairs restaurant was also great and reasonably priced. Staff was friendly and attentive. I would definitely stay here again. Maybe next time with the whole family.

I've stayed at the property multiple times and each and every time is a joy. The staff are overly friendly as well as the valet staff. The bar and resurant is so good and such a vibe during after hours. The only thing I would suggest they do is have some type of parking arrangements that go along with the hotel that way each and every time you dont have to pay $57-$68 each time you need your car. Other than that the hotel is very kid friendly, dog friendly and a nice ambiance environment.

The Royal Sonesta River North was a pleasant surprise, punching above its weight for the price point. I had a junior spa suite, with an ENORMOUS spa whirlpool tub. It was also a corner room with a good view and tons of light. It felt quite posh and would a great room for a couples getaway. (Sadly I was on a solo business trip.) My interactions with the staff at the desk were all very positive. The doormen/valets looked sharp but could do for a little extra training in customer service (I suspect their main role is security and they are friendly enough, but as the first point of contact for customer service, a little connection goes a long way). This will be the first place I shop for my next Chicago trip.

The doorman was so kind and very sweet to our children. Our first room had just had a new tv installed but it didn’t work. The maintenance guy was very nice and ended up getting us a new room so he could work on the issue. It would have been nice to have a microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator, but otherwise great place to stay convenient to many locations!

The staff is super friendly and helpful, My husband and I stayed 2 nights for our anniversary in a junior spa suite, the hot tub and cleanliness was wonderful! The comfort was wonderful slept so good! We used the gym and pool as well , very nice, I will definitely stay here everytime we stay downtown!

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Fabulous service! The junior spa suite is a nice size and the bed is comfortable. Nice pool with city views. Restaurant/bar on property with good options and reasonable prices. Would stay here again!

We were in Chicago for the Chicago marathon to cheer on a family member. The hotel was very well placed for that. it's a very nice hotel, good rooms and beds, but maybe a little over-priced. We had a room for 3 and they only gave us 2 glasses, 2 coffee mugs, so we had to continually ask for another, but then housekeeping did bring them. We found it a little strange that we had to ask for a mini fridge to be brought to our room, as well as the coffee maker, but they did bring those when we requested. The housekeeping staff were super friendly and helpful ( a shout-out to Shaunda), as were the doormen and bell-hops.
