Overall, a fine stay. The hotel met our needs, but that was about it. The hotel is overall in need of a revamp. The rooms are huge which was a big plus for us since we were traveling with a toddler. Upon checking into our room, we smelled marijuana which we assumed was from the prior visitors, but when we opened a drawer we found 2 large packages of weed. We also found a (thankfully unused) condom in the nightstand drawer. The front desk staff sent someone to clean these things up, but it makes you really wonder about the overall cleanliness of the rooms. Breakfast was nice perk, but was not anything beyond average.

Suite is older but clean and spaceus. Bathroom is small and toilet is child-size. Reception guy was lovely, but the lady refused to give us 1 hour late checkout till noon. Parking is expensive 70 But we found later a close parking on 201 chestnut for 40 dollars.

Couldn’t accommodate because I was told they don’t accept my credit/debit card. Drove hours with kids and just wanted to sleep. Then tried saying they would charge my card for canceling … make that make sense

We stayed in Chicago for our baby’s first birthday. When we arrived everyone was friendly. Valet was quick and friendly. Elevator could use some upgrades. The hallway on the 10th floor reeked like trash which was unpleasant but it’s whatever. Our room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was good. And breakfast personnel was friendly. Overall I’d say 8/10 for the stay.

Our stay was good. My family and I opted for a hotel due to our heating system going out during the recent Arctic weather. Unfortunately, the heating system didn't provide the warmth we needed. Overall, considering the room price and access to a kitchen, our stay was comfortable. A big shoutout to the staff—everyone we encountered was attentive and friendly.

The room and kitchenette were nice and would have been better had I brought food during our vacation to prepare. It was like any other hotel room only a little bigger. They need to work on the cleanliness. Pulled the couch bed out and there was trash underneath. Mold right above showerhead on the ceiling. Mold on the innkeepers rights card in the bathroom. And The main reason we chose the hotel was for breakfast and they ran out of breakfast and the breakfast potatoes were so overly peppered that my kids couldn't eat it.

This was close to my daughters apartment and needed a 2 room for my other family members to meet and hangout. It was a great place to stay and quiet and clean. We had a 2 bedroom suite which was awesome to have a nice place to hangout.10 ot of 10

We really enjoyed our stay at the Sonesta ES Suites Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile. The desk clerks were extremely helpful and polite, the breakfast was wonderful and the bed was very comfortable. We were visiting our children that live out there and the location was wonderful. We will definitely stay there again when we come to visit.
