Overall, it's a great location and property. It only had one major problem. The moisture level in the rooms was unbearable. Towels would not dry and everything always felt wet. Also a little stinky. This was not only our room. We had a family reunion with six different groups staying.

Location was perfect! They are very accommodating. My 2 kids didn’t want to sleep together and they were able to put a rollaway bed for one of them..

Gave our room away and instead put a family of 4 in single king with 1 rollaway. They literally said just triple up. Completely bizarre as there were about 30 other families checking in that somehow got their correct room. Bad luck I guess but won’t be staying here again.

We stayed as a family of 4 (2 adults 2 children) and specifically chose a room with 2 bathrooms for the obvious convenience of having 4 people get ready at the same time, and while the bathrooms were fine, the room was so small we could not pass each other around the ends of the already small double beds at the same time as there was only enough room for one person to walk between the beds and the TV at a time. The room was clean-ish with only one dubious stain on the mattress pillow topper that we didn't notice until we left and stripped the sheets to make sure we didn't leave something in the bed, and some typical black mold spots on shower curtain. The TV had issues the entire time we were there with it seemingly randomly deciding if it would respond to the remote. We could always adjust the volume, but the channels would not change, and when we could watch it the picture would only be in a small part of the screen. This was not a huge deal for us since we didn't stay in the room much over the weekend.
I guess my biggest issue was how cramped it was. Having two bathrooms suggests that the room is designed for 2-4 people, but there was only one chair in the room, and the table was built into the wall/window so we couldn't even sit around the table and eat the one time we ordered into our room.
We made it all work, and the hotel itself is beautiful, and the location made it worth it for us. Oh, and bring your own bottle water and soda. Over $6 w/tax for 20oz Coke.

We reserved a lake view room (East facing) our windows were north and west facing. When I talked to the front desk they stated you could partially see the lake from one window, so they consider it lake view.
The Double queen room is more like a full size bed. Again when talking to the front desk, they stated it’s a “hotel queen”, I stated it was the same size as a full size bed, I was informed it’s actually a few inches bigger than a standard full.
The room was picked up but there was visible hair and debris on the floors. This is the most disappointing hotel my family has ever been to.

The building is amazing, peek into the ballrooms if you have a chance! Everything is old time classy and beautiful. Location is great, walk across the street to Grant park, through the park for the museum and aquarium. Short walk to the red line L. Beds are comfortable and we even had two bathrooms which is super convenient for a family. Staff was super helpful and friendly.

We’ve stayed here multiple times for the Shamrock Shuffle, due to the extremely convenient location to the start line. The view for room 733 was outstanding, looking over Michigan Ave. and Grant Park.
It’s an older place, which in and of itself, is irrelevant. However, when EVERYTHING is dilapidated except for the lobby, you’ve got problems.
It started after check in. Get up to the 7th floor and there’s dirty sheets in the middle of the hallway. Crushed pretzels or some kind of snack all over half the length of the hallway with other garbage just there. No bags. Nothing. Gave it a pass initially because a housekeeping cart was in the hall next to a room with an open door. Figured they haven’t gotten to it yet……well……
We got out shopping and come back 4 hours later and the mess is still there. No housekeeping cart. No staff. They just left it. And there was no way to say, “I didn’t see it”. It was literally everywhere in the hall.
Our room, the carpeting was stained and dirty, which was true for the entire place. The edges were pulling up. Just looked wore out.
The bed was like sleeping on plywood. Worst hotel bed I’ve ever tried sleeping on. We had a king bed and the pillows were, not an exaggeration, kid size. Just totally uncomfortable.
There was no temp control in the room. You could adjust the fan speed but not the temp. How is this even a thing today?
This place is not worth the prices they charge. Run down facilities and staff that doesn’t seem to care.

The lobby and views are amazing. Reception staff were nice and friendly. Our room was clean and spacious enough for my youngest child to run around!!
