the hotel was very clean. loved my room. decorated very nice. the location was perfect. the only negative for me was the noise from the joining rooms. i don’t know if the walls and doors are too thin or not insulated well but i could hear the neighbors a lot. i could hear conversation and kids talking loudly and screaming and crying. i understand kids are loud but it was excessive and maybe something can be done about soundproofing better

This little hidden gem needs to be discovered!! The staff was absolutely amazing even with a late check in (thanks Mother Nature) they engaged by my grandbabies while i handled business at the front desk! The rooms were Quaint and had a very comfy feel! The beds were amazingly comfortable!! Definitely recommend this beautiful property and their staff!!

My family stayed here for one night during off-season. The front desk clerk who checked us in was very friendly and knowledgable about the area. She recommended good food within walking distance, talked about the lighthouse tour, and provided walking directions to both the nearby pier and the beach.
I liked how the inn offers free coffee and hot chocolate 24/7. We filled our cups with hot chocolate and took them on a walk during a brisk night at the end of November. It was the prefect treat to keep us warm while we checked out the nearby area.
The rooms were clean, but they felt very dated. I love how there was a little kitchenette in the room (with fridge, microwave, and sink that was separate from the bathroom sink). The beds were really tall though (a challenge for my wife and son) and they had a horribly noisy creaky sound to them so we occasionally woke each other up when we turned during the night.
The breakfast was your typical continental meal with cereal, muffins, orange jice, etc. Unfortunately, one of my muffins was a little moldy and I had to throw it out. The staff were all super friendly and helpful though, and they didn't ocmplain when my son spilled some milk.
Overall, this was a great trip. It isn't as comfortable as some hotels in the price range, but it's clean and the staff are great. It's also in a prime location on St. Simons Island.
If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely consider staying here a second time.

I like the size and location of the property. I feel safe there, my kids enjoyed the pool, and it’s walking distance to many things. I also liked the friendliness of the staff. The continental breakfast was yummy. We plan to return next year, too!

The room itself was nice. We had a problem with a dripping noise that was pretty loud, it was dripping from the air conditioner above us onto our windowsill I wen to the front desk and was told sorry there is nothing we can do its hot outside. The one solution was us moving our room to a room that the dripping noise was even louder and we could only stay in that room 2 nights and would have to move again for the last night. Also there were children above us running around it was so loud , there was no noise control I could hear the TV from the room next t us. You could hear everything going on in the hallway. When I booked it it said breakfast was included but it didn't say only a continental which wasn't really much at all. rd so we didn't sleep very well do to the bed and the dripping noise that I was told "Sorry there isnt anything we can do " even though apparently there has been a problem in the past because there was already a towel on the windowsill from a previous time it needed to be moved to where the drip was but that never happened. The last thing we found a dead roach on the bathroom floor and the housekeeper just left it there for us to pick up so how well are they really cleaning? it was in plain sight and right next to the dirty towels I left on the floor. I feel for the price I paid we should have received better service it was quite disappointing to be honest.

We were only going to SSI for 1 night so the hotel room really didn't need to be anything special but this hotel so exceeded my expectations that I felt I needed to leave a review. First off, in a time where good help is hard to find, this hotel seems to have the most helpful and kind staff I have seen in a long time. The front desk ladies were always smiling and eager to answer any questions- that alone is worth 5 stars these days! Then there was the continental breakfast and coffee machine/miracle maker...the breakfast was an assortment of pastries, muffins, cereal, bagels, fruit, oatmeal. They were all delicious. Not kidding, best apple turnovers and everything bagels I've ever had and those cinnamon coffee cake muffins, good lord they were good!
The coffee machine in the lobby....not sure where it came from or who designed it but it's genius! Perfect latte every time! And so many other great options at the push of a button. Even just the coffee option was AMAZING.
The room was good, nothing too fancy, but very comfortable. Kind of felt like you were staying at a friends house and using their spare guest room. Fresh throw blankets on the bed and throw pillows were an appreciated touch. The best part, my kids and I were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. We crossed the street to go to the lighthouse, we walked to Mullet Bay for lunch and Porch for dinner and we walked to the village for souvenirs and ice cream. My kids and I had the best and most relaxing time.
