Well the AC was at 74 when we got there. We turned it down and on high. It only went down to 73. Called the front desk, maintenance came up and after a few hours called and they said it just takes time and didn’t offer a new room or anything. It was hot as hell in that room. The water in the sink kept clogging and the usb cord plug in on the lamps by the bed was broken. Why am I paying $200 a night for this? It was insane. I’ve been to plenty of hampton inns (my preferred hotel) and I was not impressed. The check in staff was very lovely don’t get me wrong but like it’s def not up to the Hampton standards. The area around the hotel was dirty with trash everywhere including glass. Not safe feeling for a family that’s for sure. Also the pool was closed which was a feature we were looking for when renting a hotel. Honestly I would like my money back. The other crappy part is I already booked a room for when we get off the cruise ship and I don’t think I cancel it without losing out on some money that we can’t afford to lose. I would think for sure with the AC not working in hot Miami they would at least change us to a different room or at the very least upgrade us for the inconvenience considering everything that was wrong with the room. Wires were also hanging out outside of the room so I’m assuming construction stuff that we weren’t told about was going on and our door stuck so we had to push our shoulders into it just to get it opened.

I had book this hotel a few months back when I checked in I couldn’t use my digital keys I had to go back to the front desk for them to activate it I don’t understand why they have that service but I couldn’t use it. My family of over 20 stay here but the service is not that great. Both my toilet and bath tub the water not going down. I couldn’t flush the toilet.

We stayed on the 7th floor and the wallpaper was peeling. Also the staff that was cleaning the rooms had her (3) small children sitting in the corner on the floor. I accidentally almost tripped over the babies. Other than that the hotel was okay. I paid the same price for the Blue Lagoon but less available.

Wonderful stay after a trying day at the airport. It was a sanctuary, traveling alone with a young child. Most of all the staff was kind, efficient, and the breakfast, pool, shuttle was all an extra bonus. Don’t hesitate, the best stay close to the airport!!!!

We opted to stay at this hotel on our way to our cruise and back because they offer hotel-airport shuttles as well as a shuttle to the port, so there wasn’t a lot of transportation to worry about. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at our room. It was spacious and didn’t have a lot of the issues we tend to run into at other hotels. Some of the main perks that seem to be missing at other hotels: good water pressure, comfortable pull-out sleeper, nice pillows. We also had a toddler traveling with us and they provided a playpen for us at no charge. Another major perk was the breakfast! So many hotels offer breakfast and then you get there and they’re blah… The breakfast at Hampton Blue Lagoon was actually good! I didn’t try everything, but in the two nights we stayed, I had absolutely no complaints about the quality of the food. And the staff is very friendly and helpful. They even let us store anything we didn’t need for the cruise until we returned. Whether you are traveling solo, as a pair, or even a family, this hotel is a perfect fit for any traveler.

Nice large suite with living room, kitchenette and small dining table. Separate bedroom and decent sized bathroom. Worked really well for our young family for an overnight layover. Some eating options, supermarket and 24h pharmacies in easy walking distance.
