Courtyard by Marriott Miami Airport

We paid $28 a night for parking and on 1-30-24 our Limited Edition Ford F350 was stolen. When I spoke with security I was told this is the first time this has ever happened, after talking to the police this was the second truck stolen the same night. The parking lot is controlled by a 24/7 guard and you are supposed to badge in and badge out with your hotel room key. The security company allowed two trucks the same night to be taken from this lot. I caught the hotels loss prevention in a number of lies during interviews. The hotel manager was very helpful but loss prevention is a joke. When I questioned the head of security I was told I would have to wait and see what my public records request shows. We were visiting this hotel due to feeling safe during our eight year old granddaughters cancer surgery at a nearby children’s hospital. Dealing with a stolen truck while our granddaughter was in ICU is not a comfortable feeling at all.

Very clean hotel. The staff is very friendly and I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

We booked a room for 2 nights, so that we could do an early check in with our kids after an exhausting trip there to only find out our room has been checked out to somebody else, and the room had to be cleaned. They still charged us for the full night (the made profit from the room 2x). They were able to check us in after waiting a couple hours. I had to hang around the lobby with grumpy kids for 2 hours, which completely defeated the purpose of being able to walk right into my hotel. I did call the hotel to let them know our situation prior to arrival and they still failed. Their fix was a complimentary breakfast and snacks, but the breakfast should have been complementary with the hotel (it was not that great). The hot tub was not running and appeared dirty. The one perk was the complementary shuttle to the airport.

Disappointed at this hotel. Turns out parking is 25$ per day. Many hotels also good ones in the same area are with free and super easy parking and free breakfast. Used one of them a week before this one. The hotel is in a gated area with other hotels and you have no other choice for parking. Room was a bit outdated and the sleeping sofa for our kid was terrible quality. The mattress was so thin, you can feel the spring pretty bad. Not impressed at all Marriott. 👎

Should start off that 2 rooms were booked and due to a cc glitch & not checking emails (while in flight) we lost one and had to share with adult children Front desk tried but seems hotel was full room was clean guess next time I’ll pay up front😕

If you are planning to take the shuttle from the airport, make sure you are at pick up 1-3 or you will never get on the bus. The front desk staff were not friendly, actually pretty rude. (One CSR made sure that everyone he "helped" was an inconvenience. He seemed miserable and made customers feel his annoyance. They do not have port transportation. This was a big reason my family (with children) chose this hotel. So it was late when we finally got to the hotel. A few reasons for this... By the time we walked down to door 1 at the airport to catch the shuttle that we had been passed up 3 times (door 7) and told we should walk down to door 1 if we want to actually get on the shuttle. (with children and a very busy area of the airport). We arrived at the hotel 2.5 hours after we got off the plane (it was a 5 minute ride). I waited to check in and when I asked for directions for the port shuttle he said they no longer had the shuttle. I told him that was a major reason I chose this hotel and that if they had canceled this shuttle service a few months ago they should take it off the website. He said, "I can just cancel your reservation!" Very rudely. I called him out on his rudeness. "No, and that was very rude. I was not being rude and you were very rude." He changed his demeanor slightly when I called him out, but only to be curt. This young man was not happy to be here and I observed him later and he was the same with others as well. I trully hope this is not normal here.
