If you're going to stay in South Beach, the Shepley Hotel is the spot. It's family friendly and the staff are super helpful. The breakfast is meh and they'll run out if you get there late, but you can find numerous breakfast options nearby.

We had a wonderful stay at the Shepley. Customer service was top notch, and the hotel was walkable to the beach and so many restaurants. The continental breakfast was perfect for young kids, and they also have towels, chairs, and beach toys for you to take to the beach. Cons: The room was pretty basic and got uncomfortably hot at night. The beds were also full size instead of queen (which we knew when we booked) and were small with 2 adults and 2 young kids.

Great hotel in south beach. It is a Expedia VIP hotel so we were pleased to be welcomed with a bottle of wine in our room. The staff were all very sweet and hospitable. They offer beach towels, chairs and even sand toys for the kids to take to the beach.
