Hampton Inn & Suites Ft. Lauderdale West-Sawgrass/Tamarac

From check in to check out we had a great stay! Clean, toiletries provided, fresh smelling, and delicious breakfast. Great place for our little family to spend the evening!

Broken elevator for my 2 day stay with my family. No hotel manager at the busiest time of the year. Ran out of breakfast by 9 am.

I want to tell you about our experience at the Hampton Inn, Tamarac, FL. My family traveled from North Carolina to see us and we booked them through hotels.com at the Hampton Inn & Suites Ft. Lauderdale West-Sawgrass/Tamarac. My son, wife, 3 year old and 7 month old baby were supposed to stay at the Hampton Inn for 4 nights. The first night they discovered the room was infested with bedbugs. My son took pictures of them to show the manager. The hotel staff does not check the rooms and it was gross and disgusting, especially with 2 young children. After arguing with the manager all morning the next day (he didn't want to refund the money for the room), he finally relented and returned the room charge. Then my family had to spend an entire day (time that should have been spent with us), finding a new hotel, washing and drying all of their clothes, and unpacking in a new hotel. We only had a limited time to be with them Thanksgiving week, and a quarter of the time was spent on this hotel disaster. The Hampton Inn & Suites has an 8.2 Excellent rating on hotels.com, but clearly it's not. My son said after they left, the staff was turning over the room for the next guest but not doing anything about the bedbugs in the room. This is completely unacceptable and ruined both our Thanksgiving week as well as our family's. This was especially disturbing since there were 2 very young children sleeping in a room infested with bedbugs.

The receptionist is pleasing and friendly. The breakfast lady is amazing. The room smells great but we got allergy from the curtain that has full of dust. Me, my kids and my husband ended up spraying our nose to feel us better.Nonetheless we had a great experience.

Convenient to the family events we were attending.

The staff was approachable with questions and very polite. Room was clean and I felt safe during my stay there. Breakfast that was served complimentary was good and fit exactly into what we needed to get the day started. Cleaning of the room has to be requested but we stayed 4nights and did not need it. They would always give us fresh towels at the front desk when asked. They had a pack and play for our child that was waiting in the room for us and had a high chair in the eating area that was a huge help. 5/5 for being baby friendly.

I stayed there 1 night with my family. It smelled nice, comfortable beds, good breakfast (waffles, muffins, eggs, milk, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, limited hot food items like hash browns were not so good).
