Renaissance Fort Lauderdale West Hotel

The hotel is perfect, very clean and well taken care of. My flight was delayed three times so I called the hotel six hours before my arrival and told them that I would have a late check in. They said there was no issue and noted my room. When I arrived to the hotel at 1 AM with my family they told me my room was unavailable due to a smell, and they were sold out for the evening. The gentleman that helped me absolutely no assistance. Unacceptable. And he either needed to find me another room or put me up at another Renaissance in Fort Lauderdale. Miraculously, he found a room for me. This was completely unacceptable service. Other than this snafu, the rest of my trip was great, and we enjoyed the amenities such as the pool, restaurant, and gym.

The Renaissance Ft Lauderdale West is easy to get to from the airport. It is very close to the highway and just off one of the exits. It is situated in a residential/corporate park area. The staff was extremely nice and accomodating. My family enjoyed a nice walk (~0.50 mile) around the lake behind the pool. The gym was convenient and had everything I needed. The pool is very nice and would like to use in the warmer months. Still nice to sit around and enjoy the Florida weather. My son also got a kick out of some of the wildlife in the rear of the hotel (lizards, fish, birds, etc.). We've had a few good stays here. We also noticed it seems to be a good hotel for people taking cruises out of Ft. Lauderdale. There was a Princess cruise bus and and one other cruise company picking up passengers as we were checking out.

You could hear other people, some talking was disrespectful and bad for kids

The Renaissance Hotel provided great accommodations for my four day trip to Florida. Loved the decor of the hotel lobby and room theme. Felt safe and secure. Everything,including the bathroom was super clean and fresh smelling, from the lobby to my room. The last evening of my stay, my friends and family enjoyed dinner at the Bin 595 Restaurant. The appetizer and entree choices were plentiful. My caesar salad and salmon tacos were good and enjoyed, but the food was overpriced. $50.50 included gratuity for a normal sized salad and 3 salmon tacos. As a NewYorker...this was definitely an overpriced meal. Hotels need to attract more diners so they dont have to overcharge hotel patrons on food. Otherwise great stay and time had at the Renaissance.

The first night there.found both beds broken.had broken box springs The metal frame was separated from the box springs and both queen beds keep having to be adjusted due to the center falling in when sitting on it.my 3 year old kid got cut on glass shards that were on the floor and in the bedding .my wife had to keep asking to clean.sweep up the floor .then my wife got cut the second night on peices of glass again.on the last night at about 10 pm i found 2 glass shards in my bedding.i also seen it in the hallway outside our door.note that shoes got taken off after getting into the hotel door.the buttons on the elevators dis not all work and most are broken.just seems for 1200 bucks i could have gotten a nicer hotel.i stayed at this place 2 years before this with my wife and it was not even close to being this bad.

My husband and I stay at the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale West Hotel every time we visit the area. This is the only hotel that we stay in as it always feels like home. I am a clean freak and the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale West Hotel never lets us down. From the outside grounds of the hotel, to the lobby and the hotel rooms are always clean and well stocked. This past Friday I booked a hotel reservation at the last minute (12:30AM). We were not set to arrive in Fort Lauderdale until 4:30AM. Once I made our hotel reservations and received my hotel confirmation email, I noticed upon reading the confirmation email that the Renaissance stopped allowing check-in after 2AM. I decided to call the front desk to ask for a one time consideration and Ms. Lori who worked at the front desk was able to get me checked in over the phone. Ms. Lori was absolutely phenomenal and was so patient with me as we were upset thinking we wouldn’t be able to check -in until later that day (4PM). My husband and I were so exhausted from the fifteen hour drive. We pulled up to the hotel I was at the lobby desk for maybe ten minutes getting my hotel key and then we were off to our room. To Ms. Lori and the rest of the hotel staff the Ellis family thanks you for all of your hard work and dedication to your customers and making sure they’re satisfied. Beautiful hotel, nice relaxing atmosphere. Great family trip.

The room was ok and bed was very comfortable. Hair dryer didn’t work. We were there for 5 nights and the hallway was never vacuumed. Carpets definitely need to be cleaned. Biggest complaint was the breakfast buffet. The first day was great but on Sunday we brought our family and there wasn’t much there to eat. When asked about it the waitress said they had a lot of people for brunch. Then they should have told us not to get it. Nothing new was brought out!

Beautifully decorated, clean and spacious rooms and hotel. Awesome staff, Brittany and Gladys. Very helpful, awesome housekeeping crew. Definitely will be back with my family!
