This is one of the best hotels we've stayed in without a doubt! What makes this amazing is that it's right in front of the boardwalk and the view is incredible. It's also lovely because you get a chance to wake up early (if you'd like) and check out some of the volleyball action going on while sipping on the coffee provided by the hotel. A special shout out to the staff, namely Ellen and Andres, for being welcoming, accommodating, and helping to make this vacation beautiful for the family.

We have stayed here a few times now. Love the property and the staff are always friendly and helpful. This time we stayed in the family room which has 2 separate bedrooms. The rooms were very small, in fact in the back bedroom, the door doesn’t open all the way because it hits the bed. The front bedroom did not have any nightstand or table by the bed to put your glasses or watch on. Neither room had a chair or anything to sit on besides the bed. I will say the bathroom was very large and the shower was wonderful. I will defiantly stay here again just not in the family room we had.

My family and I booked 2 rooms for an overnight trip. With the great weather, rooms were hard to find. I picked this one for the location, which was right across the street from the Boardwalk and Pier. When we booked, it said Oceanview Balcony room. One room (#317) was on the bottom floor and had a front porch as the "balcony".. which looked out to street parked cars and a building under construction. The second room (#305) was on the second floor but still was not a full oceanview room. You have to lean way over to partially see some ocean, otherwise its just the building under construction again.
Walls and floors are thin, as i heard footsteps of people above us the whole time.. and not to mention i could hear full conversations from nearby rooms.
The rooms were decent. Some flooring panels needed to be fixed and cabinet doors be adjusted. Just looked a little worn out.
I expected better for the $630 per room, per night that we paid.

Room #317 - Saturday, 04/20/24.
The room was so bad that I felt the need to check for bed bugs before we settled in. I was not comfortable letting my kids settle in until we checked. The room was dusty, moldy and disgusting. We communicated with staff, they said they would re-clean. They claimed the gunk on the bathroom floor was glue from when it was installed and could not be cleared up.
We got back to our room at about 10pm when the board walk fully closed down.
The floor panels were hollow and bowing under my 18 month old baby, indicating that it was a floating floor. There is no glue involved with a floating floor as this. Upon further inspection, my husband was actually able to easily remove the gunk with his finger. This indicates that it was not glue, but dirt, bacteria and mold from neglected moisture damage.
It was disgusting and I'm glad I didn't let my baby crawl around in there as she wanted. You could tell the floors hadn't been mopped in quite some time, the walls were disgusting, the ac had a layer of dust and dead bugs, the inside of the barn style door, to the bathroom, had a layer of dust that made us question the last time the room was truly cleaned.
My husband communicated these issues with staff and showed pictures. They sent someone to re-clean it, but it was obvious they made no attempt to clean the walls or floors. Due to the filthy condition of the rooms and the fact that you can't get breakfast there, the location is absolutely not worth $450.

Ideal location next to the wharf & boardwalk. Parking was easy and the room was quite spacious. Definitely will be recommending Casablanca On The Beach to friends & family.

This place was perfect!! You can't beat the location. The room was super spacious. The room was modern with still an older feeling to it. My kids loved this place. You can also bring your pet- next time we will.

Our stay was fantastic! The location is perfect right across the street from everything! The staff was friendly and helpful. The balcony patios are an amazing perk of staying here, where you can relax and watch the action on the beach and boardwalk right from the hotel patios. The room was big and modern with a very large bathroom. My grandfather and I were very comfortable. My family will be using this hotel for every trip to Santa Cruz in the future.
