Holiday Inn Express Lompoc, an IHG Hotel

The front desk staff was excellent. another hotel a few doors down gave us such a difficult time to check in because it was family in our hometown. I am very grateful to this hotel for being on top of service and professionalism during our check in. Mainly for being a human instead of a machine.

Great room, great service, good breakfast, excellent safety and value. Restaurants in walking distance. The exterior door to the building wasn't working, not sure if it was a recent issue. Our building was a bit of a walk to the pool across the parking lot, keep that in mind if you are staying with children.

The 2 queen suite was nice and large. Very spacious for our family. Breakfast was great. And staff was super friendly.

It was a place to sleep; positive notes, the check in /out was easy. I was not able to take advantage of any of the "extra" amenities as every time I attempted to visit the breakfast room between 7 and 8:30am (Sat/Sun) the items were not replenished. I also found it strange the property limits room cleaning to every 3 days so our trash was full by day 2. I feel indifferent about the experience and would not make a point to book again even though it's a 10 min drive from my family's home (who we've come to town to visit).

The rooms are actually nice, clean, and spacious. Refrigerator, freezer, microwave, chairs, and desk space. Nice sliding glass shower door too. The towels were actually soft! Free Wifi. Free parking. Our only encounter with the staff was not great. We were tired from traveling and were eager to check in. The staff prioritized training a new employee on a computer over checking us in. No, the new employee was not learning how to check in guests. We stood there in the lobby for 5 minutes before they were able to check us in. Sounds silly, but we were the only guests in the lobby and the training could have waited the 2 minutes it eventually took to check us in. The doors of the room must be hollow. We could hear everything and everyone in the hallways and in nearby rooms. The doors also slam if you do not manually control them when closing. Unfortunately, the people/family near us were very loud. One of the boys in this family was going around knocking on doors...at 10:15 at night! We were going to call the front desk, but given our check-in experience, we had little confidence in them. Breakfast was pitiful. Bring your own or just go out to breakfast. Additionally, the same family as before, was touching EVERY SINGLE to-go breakfast bag "checking" if they were different. The hotel lobby worker did nothing. All of the bags were the same. It wasn't a terrible place to stay, but the hollow doors, slamming doors, and customer service were a disappointment.

Hotel is in a run down place. Paying over $200 was a waste and came with an unpleasant experience. They check out at 11 am. Gave us a half hour extension after request. My husband went downstairs around 10 am. He got stuck as they deactivated the keys already. I was inside the hotel with 2 small kids. What an inconvenience we bought for $200 and stayed less than 12 hours. There are other hotels around that looked very nice from outside and is much cheaper.

We were in Lompoc to visit our son who is stationed at Vandenberg AFB. The hotel was very convenient to the neighborhood restaurants. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Room was a great size for our family of 5 and the breakfast was very good. I would definitely stay again.
