This is a nice hotel for the price point. Large rooms, nice pool for the kiddos, everything clean and in working order. Only complaint was the a/c was super loud. Although we would have preferred to just keep the slider door open and a/c off, we shared a balcony with an adjoining room and therefore the wife balked due to safety concerns. Otherwise nice hotel for a nights rest while driving up and down the coast. Can highly recommend.

Awesome, friendly and centrally located. Room was clean, amenities perfect, friendly check-in. My room faced mini golf (?) and so it was a little noisy in the evening thanks to kids but not terrible. Comfortable bed, large, comfortable space in the room.

Really liked the pool area, and the fireplace spots. Loved that we had a sliding door. Beds were comfortable, good down blankets, water pressure was good and hot. Bathroom could use some update, there was some missing tiles on the floor, and the door was a really weird accordion door and hard to close. Also when we were outside, enjoying the patio fireplaces, a local group of boys showed up and started hanging around the ice machine and swearing and riding over the putting green, etc. When I looked over at them (after they said something horrible how they were going to kill someone on Instagram )they tried to start a fight with me (I’m a woman btw) Throwing their arms up and saying “What?!” I just responded that I was just looking over at a group of kids. Thankfully the worker came over and told them to leave after about 10 minutes. So property is not closed off and anyone can come over. Other than that, it was a good experience and I’d stay here again.

My family and I stayed in 3 rooms for 2 nights and this hotel was great with friendly staff. Next to fwy and an easy and beautiful 5 mile drive to Solvang.

Staying at Pea Soup Anderson was one of the highlights of our Spring Break trip driving the California coast! We loved the friendly and helpful service, and the amenities. Between the pool, hot tub, games, and breakfast pastries, the kids were in heaven. Location was terrific, and we even made friends with the other guests! Would definitely return.

Had an amazing time. Very family friendly. We were able to enjoy time all together especially playing on the putting green with the baby and hanging out by the fire pit for some adult time.

Cute property with attentive staff. Check in was easy. They have a center community area with a gazebo, pool, hot tub, and putting for little kids. Breakfast is served in the gazebo with Danishes delivered from the local bakery as well as tea, coffee, hot chocolate, juice, and oatmeal. The beds were comfortable. A few of the furniture was has a bit of wear. Hot water was good. The area is quiet with some good local eateries. The only issue we had was our neighbor was very very loud. Because it is an older property, whenever they opened or close their door we thought it was our door opening. They were talking/yelling at each other until passed midnight. Maybe they came back from a local pub because their door slammed at least a dozen times pass midnight. However we would definitely stay here again. Our two younger kids loved the property.

Property is very close to Solvang. 5-6 min drive. It was definitely worth the money save compared to hotel/motels in Solvang. Unfortunately we discovered the first night that the walls were very thin. We had very loud disruptive neighbors the first night but then after that night they were gone and everything was fine. We did have a mold stained (NOT moldy, it was clean) we informed them and they were very quick to give us a new pillow AND extra under 5 min. All the staff were polite and attentive. I would stay here again. I traveled with a partner and children. I would say that I would feel safe staying here as a solo female traveler with or without kids as well. Area surround the hotel felt like a safe clean and quiet area.
