June 29/2024. Great place to relax. Mission style vibe. When our kids were small we’d stay here after a long day at the Monterey Bay Aquarium It’s been a minute since we’ve been back, but we r continuing the tradition with our grandkids. I’m excited that they still have a fireplace(gas) in the rooms. The spa tub doesn’t hurt either. During the summer heat through the Central Valley, San Juan Bautista is a 30 minutes drive and the weather is in the 70’s. We use to spend the night in Monterey but you can’t beat the price, weather and the mission style downtown vibe. It’s the best!

Gorgeous boutique hotel in a historic small town. We were attending a wedding at a local venue, and had an infant in tow. This hotel was perfect for our family to supplement a wedding that weekend. The front desk kindly allowed me to revise my reservation at check-in (I thought a balcony would be romantic) so that we could have the more practical first floor. We felt comfortable walking the neighborhood even at night.

Truly unique historical family-built hotel run by grandson of the designer. Very friendly and accommodating. An enjoyable break from the environment of the chain hotels. Highly recommend.

Mary & Edwardo were so friendly and helpful. We were there for a family funeral and their kindness made a difficult visit extra special. We loved the property and location. Such a special place and you can feel the love they have for their family owned property. Highly recommend!

This is a beautiful Spanish Inspired hotel built by the Grandfather and still family owned and operated. Everyone was so kind, helpful, and friendly. I have recommended it to friends and will definitely stay again if in the area. Loved it!

My family and I loved this place. It had a very homey, clean feel. The fireplaces in the rooms worked wonderfully, and so did the jacuzzi bathtubs. The staff were very friendly, kind and helpful. The continental breakfast was great, so many food options while being clean and organized.

After a strenuous but beautiful day of hiking in Pinnacles National Park, we arrived at this lovely historic hotel in San Juan Bautista. Eduardo, the owner, greeted us warmly and told us that his grandparents had opened the hotel 50 years ago, and that he had stepped in to restore it and keep it running when his grandmother was finally ready to sell it. The care and attention to detail he has taken with this family-run business is clear. We were delighted with the spacious, clean, comfortable room. The hotel is quiet, but perfectly situated in charming downtown San Juan Bautista, with a great restaurant on the same block that we could walk to. The complimentary continental breakfast in the morning had plenty of fresh fruit, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, and a basket full of snacks, perfect for breakfast on the go. It is reasonably priced, and convenient to Moss Landing and Pinnacles National Park. We can't wait to return!
