We spent six night at this hotel. Pros: Good, walkable location with access to many restaurants and shops and easy walk to busses. Reasonably priced Comfortable bed Relatively quiet air conditioner Easy off street parking. Cons: Except for check-in, staff pays no attention to their guests. When a group of travelers was making incredible noise at 11:00 pm with kids running all over the place and screaming, we asked if there were no quiet hours to be enforced. The front clerk advised us that the hotel could do nothing about guests’ behavior and the only option he suggested was to speak to the noisy crowd ourselves or to call the police. Remarkably strange! The elevator was out of service the entire time although staff was using it. Guests had to carry their bags up the stairs. No room cleaning unless requested the night before. We searched for the towel cart ourselves to get clean towels after three days. Bathroom lighting is dismal. Bathroom window cannot be latched shut which is a safety risk. Refrigerator, safe and clothes hanging space are all located inside the bathroom.

This is a cute kitschy hotel that would be great however, many components of the property were not functioning well. In the advertisement it shows the Beverly Laurel sign lit up with the hotel grounds and it was not. No elevator service was provided. I don’t remember if I read this in the description, however, not having an elevator in this hotel was a complete hindrance. I feel as though the pictures and description on Expedia didn’t quite match the reality of the property. The front desk staff checked us and offered no help with luggage. As we entered in the room, the lighting was weirdly wired. There is not enough plugs. The rooms are very small, which are OK if you don’t have a lot of luggage and you’re not expecting to stay for a long period of time. Our room was a two double bed room, and the location of the AC unit was very noisy and did not compensate for cooling the whole room. The neighborhood was fine , close to all of the West Hollywood locations and shopping districts however, the streets around this area are dirty and there are a lot of homeless people. Parking was very tight however was free. This location is a great place to stay without children and if you’re not looking for too much glitz and glamour. Also the attached restaurant was worth the money.

My family and I stayed here for a week and enjoyed the hotel. What it lacked in a modern sized-room it made up for with a large bathroom. It also had a larger than average fridge and microwave, which was appreciated. The pool needs more regular cleaning (algae was definitely present) but is so cute and enjoyable. Staff were pretty friendly and the price was affordable. Definitely worth it!

mattresses are extremely uncomfortable, caused back pain. Hidden hotel fee ($15/night). Paid parking (around $30/night), hard access to the parking. The hotel mentions on Expedia they provide daily room cleaning upon guest’s request but they don’t. The receptionist told me upon check-in they offer room cleaning upon request, and when I requested the service next day, they did not do. I requested one extra pillow, they said they don’t have. They don’t have baby crib. Generally blankets and pillows are not clean. The service is terrible.

The on site dinner, and it's central location, are this property's saving grace. The property has been kitchily updated to resemble the family friendly motor courts of the 50s. The pool area, and even the lobby, are nicely appointed. The rooms not so much. The room we stayed in only had ceiling lights in the room and bath -- actually they resembled more the touch LED lights Ikea sells for their cabinets, so they are not as bright as normal lights and the room was pretty dark most of the time we were there... it had a huge window to let in light, but if you prefer not to be stared at by other guests, you are left to sit in a dim room. Upon check in, we noticed one of the bathroom lights was out, and we contacted the front desk... the light was never fixed even though we were there for 4 nights. There was no shaving or doing make up unless you had your own lights and mirrors packed away, which we did not. The room included a mini fridge and microwave, which was a nice touch, even though we did not use it. The coffee maker, a mini keurig (fancy really) had a shirt plug and we had to balance it on the edge of the trash can in order to operate, since it could not be plugged in from where it was placed on the desk. Cleaning services are only offeredif requested, and must be requested the previous day, so plan aforismo if you need more towels, soap, etc. We tried asking for an additional pillow, and shampoo, and were met with resistance. Won't return.

We had 2 rooms. 1 for parents and another for adult and child. Despite checking in @ 3p. One room was not yet ready for another hour. Our room, the main entrance door has a 1 inch gap on the bottom-we can feel all the cold airflow coming in. Heater didn't work properly. Most inconvienent, kids found used condom under the bed. Definitely not coming back to this hotel.
