We returned here for a couple of nights as seeing family. The breakfast was not as plentiful as we remembered it. The toaster wasn’t working on our first morning. Limited food choices. The area around the hotel doesn’t look tidy as our room overlooked the business park. I did not like the fact that the bedroom windows were sealed units so completely reliant on air conditioning. The room felt claustrophobic and the air con was so noisy that it was hard to sleep. Saying all that I could not fault any of the staff for being welcoming, friendly and professional. I don’t think I’ll be staying there again sadly.

Situated just off the M4. Ty Magor is the budget option of the group of hotels operated by Celtic Manor. If you just need a clean, comfortable bed, soft towels etc, with convenient access to Newport, Cardiff or Bristol this is for you. The staff are helpful and breakfast is ok for £10 extra. I have stayed several times when visiting family nearby and it’s the first place I check for accommodation, as it provides good value comfort and convenience.

Staff service was great. Room was clean enough but could be better. Main bed was very comfortable, sofa bed wouldn't be very comfortable for a adults.
Bathroom was clean and very modern.
Great coffee and decaff in room, plenty of towels and shower gel smelled amazing.
Got goodie bags for the kids which they loved!
Definitely would recommend and stay again

Lovely hotel and great position for our needs will definately stay again.
However, very disappointed with sawyers the associated restaurant. The menu was very limited but we can live with that but a large glass of wine £10.45 is ridiculous the cheapest prosseco £37 a bottle. I'm afraid we left and found a restaurant 0.5 of a mile away with much better menu and £15 for a house bottle of very nice white wine. This stupid pricing is aimed at workers putting on a expense account and not caring how much. There is no consideration for couples and families staying here with those prices.

Lovely staff in a nice hotel. Manage to stay now in this hotel as a couple with one kid which was perfect. The mattress on the queen bed wasn't on my likeing but in the rest was exactly how I remember it, lovely. A hotel good for families.

We liked the hotel, it is clean and staff service was efficient and polite. The hotel is good for business travel and stopover, but nothing much around. Easy access to the motorway. Shower is a bit weak. Sink is too large for small children to brush their teeth or wash hands without a stool.

Really convenient hotel for a stop off to Wales with my family. Arrived late so didn't see much of hotel but all staff friendly and helpful. Other guests were noisy in the morning in the corridor but no noise from traffic at all.
