New Inn Hotel by Greene King Inns

If it wasn't for another jolly member of staff taking over on our check in we would have turned around & walked out. The info says check in at the hotel reception after 2pm which we did. Reception was unlit. We waited for a while, then rang the bell. A woman peered at us through the door then carried on looking at her phone/tablet. Finally she deigned to emerge only to not look at us & claim she was on an online call. We weren't welcomed. A man came over & asked her if he could help - he was really helpful, she wasn't. I said perhaps we should go out & come back in again! She was only interested in the booking fee & was really rude. We run our own hospitality business & if she was our employee she would be working somewhere else. Whatever sort of day you're having DON'T take it out on guests! Apart from her every other staff member was lovely, friendly & professional & made us feel like guests. As for the accommodation - very clean, well equipped, good showers, lovely brekkie, good restaurant - good choices, family friendly, clean, fast, reasonable, relaxed.
