I booked because I had an early flight and in contrast with other hotels around this one has an indoor pool, however, the pool was full of children in a class so not a lot of chance to relaxed quietly there. I also had to work and decided to bring my laptop to the restaurant, which at that moment was crowded with a Scottish wedding (pipes and all). The room was bigger than expected, although old fashioned and the tv did not work. I could hear noise in the hallway. Nevertheless, the staff was friendly and the hotel is close to a bus stop to the airport and a very convenient shopping mall.

We stayed over Xmas and found the hotel had relayed new carpets and improved the reception area the main reason for staying at the Marriott is location as our family stay nearby Will use the hotel again as it fits our needs

This is absolutely an Eco-friendly 4 star hotel. Me and my family stayed here for 3 nights, the first night we cannot find the right temperature at the shower, due to the tap problem, the front desk arranged a room change for us, which is very helpful. The shower works well in the new room, but the heater, tv, fridge, and all power sockets are not working, we report the problem in the next morning, but none of these were fixed. We cannot boiled hot water, charge our phones, watch tv, and heat up our room. Can't believe i am staying with a 4 star hotel.

Great stay for a family of four. Easy to get into Edinburgh on the train or bus. Short bus journey to the zoo. Plenty of choice at breakfast in a pleasant room. Poor lighting in room, no main light only lamps. Bathroom slightly small and in need of an upgrade.
