We were welcomed with a big smile at check in (Thankyou Reece), very helpful, professional and kind staff throughout or brief stay. Breakfast was fantastic, kids enjoyed using the automatic pancake maker (thanks Mandy). In short a fabulous stay. Thanks again.

We both got a fantastic sleep every night which we never get at home an what we didnt like was seeing a woman putting her child up beside the pancake machine while she got her hot food.

I was very pleased with it overall and felt comfortable with staff who were helpful and friendly. The facilities were very good . The close location of a public house, plus a park and ride to the city centre and a retail outlet being a very short ride away was brilliant. Only slight niggle, there wasn’t a lift to first floor . Have already recommended it to family and friends.

Staff extremely friendly and helpful, room was very clean and clean towels provided daily. Staff helpful in navigating around the area. Free parking available, also park and ride located down the road next to an Asda and other retailers. Taxi 10.00 into York very reasonably priced. My only complaint which cant be helped by the hotel was people banging doors and children running around.

We enjoyed our stay, the room was clean and the staff very helpful and pleasant. The only negative was that the bathroom seemed dated. The family really enjoyed the breakfast and the girls loved the hot chocolate. I thought it was closer to the city but it wasn't which was not the hotel's fault. There is a bus into the city which is about 10-15 mins walk.

Excellent staff and customer service (very helpful) - only problem we had was with other guests slamming doors at all hours of the night and waking our toddler up.

The room was good but could have done with a clean....the mirror when we arrived was absolutely covered ...there must have been children in before our stay....and they had fun in the mirror which is absolutely fun for kids but the clearners toatally missed this (how they missed it mind is totally baffling) ..but apart from that the room was perfectly comfortable and yes we would definitely stay there again and recommend the hotel

I stayed at this Hotel from 02/06/23 to 04/06/23 for 2 nights with family. On arrival I had mixed welcome, or call it misunderstanding, I will give a benefit of doubt. As one gentleman gave a good welcome, while a trainee was still trainee. Next the room was well done but the floor wasn’t hoovered at all & as I’m practising Muslim do my prayers, placing my carpet on the floor, which wasn’t good. Apart from that everything was to the very good standard. No faults on breakfasts or any other issues.

The guy at the front desk was really friendly and went that extra mile for the kids, so can’t fault him. However, when we arrived there was a damp hand towel and used glass of water left on the desk which was a bit disappointing. The mattress was also really uncomfortable. It was firm on the outside and soft in the middle meaning we both kept falling into the centre throughout the night. Breakfast was very good though.
