We had a long day of traveling and the staff warmly accommodated my family a bit early. It was a lovely stay.

Haven’t stayed here for about 12 years. Decided to treat ourselves as we were having a rare trip to theatre without the kids. Room was dark, windows were taped closed and got no natural sunlight. We were next to lifts with a fire door the other side of the wall which banged loudly from early hours. Despite being told we do not need to book breakfast when we arrived it felt an effort for them to get us a table. No staff could help with dietary concerns. The staff really let the place down unfortunately. I would not call this 5 star to be it’s the staff who really make your stay but they seemed really inexperienced and didn’t seem to know their hotel. No one was rude but no pleasantries either. We will not be returning

This is absolutely the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in and we travel all the time (except during COVID to be accurate). Housekeeping took our baby’s towel that we brought from home. I complained several times but no one cared to do anything. They don’t even answer the phone. I have a video that I can share! If we want to order food or if there is an emergency they don’t care. They also had a ramp in the lobby for strollers and wheelchairs but they removed it. When I spoke to the front desk about it, they simply said “when it is not busy we remove it” I am shocked! Have they heard about safety! They have stairs in the lobby. How are we supposed to get to the lift to go to our room if there is no ramp when we have a baby sleeping in the stroller! On top of this the room cleanliness is terrible. Everything looks old and dilapidated. When I complained about room cleanliness they said “today we will do in depth cleaning.” That set. There is a weird indifference as if they hate having tourists, can’t stand their jobs or something. To top it off they are ridiculously expensive for no reason. Breakfast was appalling! I don’t know how they can get fried eggs wrong! The only good thing is in-room dining, it tasted good. Otherwise everything else is terrible. The only nice person we met there was the concierge. He was always smiling and eager to help. One day we didn’t have water and no one was answering the phone except him, he brought us water all the way to our room

The staff are incredibly nice and sweet. The staff help us book a tour and they were so welcoming. The hotel is beautiful and in a perfect area. Many things to do and see just around the hotel. They are friendly with the family. We love the hotel so much when we return to London that would be the only place we would stay.

Convenient location for the great sights of London. We took three rooms for my family during our stay, each with wonderful riverside views. I'd read some reviews complaining about the rooms being smaller. Ours were a good size for the centre of London and the hotel honoured the room upgrade for Expedia VIP membership. The staff were great and we had a wonderful stay at the Royal Horseguards.
