Great hotel. We stayed in a suite - 2 adults and 2 kids (12 & 8). Loads of space, well kitted out room and super comfy beds, even the pull out sofa bed! Kids were happy with the free sweets and drinks in the room when we arrived.
The staff are super helpful and really friendly. You also cannot get much closer to the action as you are right my Trafalgar Square.

Overall a great stay at a wonderful hotel. The service was outstanding, the room was spacious, well appointed and clean. The location is fantastic, providing plenty to do/see nearby as well as easy access to public transportation to get to other parts of London. My only complaint would be the fact the TV system has no guide, so you can't tell what your watching, how long it will be on, what's on next, etc.. Challenging particularly with kids, but considering the rest of the experience not a big issue.

We appreciated Donish the absolutely most. Although, EVERYONE was very friendly. We feel that Donish went over and above for us, personally. Deep was right there with Donish as he was helping him. They were both super sweet.
The hotel was exactly what we hoped for. Old World feel. When we stay somewhere, we look for the “feel” of the area. The Clermont did the trick.
The beds were so comfortable. We all slept like babies. When in London, you NEED to sleep because all you do is walk, walk, walk!
Our only regret is that we don’t have enough time there. Next time……PLAN EXTRA DAYS!

Another great stay in London. Lovely welcome and such a comfortable stay. They could not do more for you. We stay as a family of 4 and always request an extra bed as the sofa bed is not really comfortable for 2. Good breakfast and a beautiful bar for drinks.

Really useful location for our family trip to the theatre. The hotel failed to tell us there would be a disco in the hotel (1st floor) and that whilst being on the third floor, our children would not be able to sleep due to the volume. We were on the third floor so and having done a few trips, this was truly ridiculous. Staff failed to help so super disappointing. Breakfast was good but be aware…. The bar and restaurant are very small for a hotel this size, so plan ahead.

Awesome location right next to the train station but still very quiet. Great for walking to some very famous landmarks like Trafalgar Square. We were a family of 4 and the kids are 13 and 16. The beds for them in our room were on the small side. They struggled a bit. Main bed was fone and bathroom facilities were a decent size. Hotel made you feel special with ritzy decor. I would highly recommend for family of 3 or if you have smaller kids, still doable with a family of 4.

We stayed at the Clermont Charing Cross for about a week ahead of Christmas to see the magic of London at this time. Overall from a historical and architectural point of view, the Clermont certainly didn't disappoint. With the Charing Cross right in front of the hotel and the view of St. Martin-in-the-fields across the street, this hotel has lots of history to offer.
We stayed with our two boys aged 8 and 12 in one of the suites. The suite afforded us a king sized bed, a pull out couch, along with a portable bed (board on a frame with a mattress) so all of us could sleep comfortably.
PROS
- A building steeped in history and architectural detail
- Front of house staff are all well trained with impeccable etiquette expected from a hotel of this caliber in London City.
- Room was always a good temperature and we were able to crack the windows when needed.
- Restaurant decor was incredible
- Taxi rank and tube in front of the hotel
- Walking distance to many major attractions
CONS
- The suite had limited room for a week's worth of clothing for a family of four during the winter.
- Suite did not come with the Elemis products as agreed upon
- Suite was not made up before our red-eye flight arrival, so some hoops needed to be jumped through
- Back of house staff (dining, maintenance) didn't quite have that English etiquette you would expect from this level of hotel.
- Restaurant menu, while robust, didn't have many appealing items that would really stand-out.

We stayed for one night with our little one - 18 months after a 10 hour journey.
In the morning he seemed so distressed and he was crying inconsolably, we couldn't settle him and we were also knackered.
Few residents complained about the noise and the hotel staff checked us out but they handled the situation nicely.
I am sorry that our baby was crying but there was an excuse ..he woke up in a different environment and different time zone and he was out of his routine.
Anyway, we really liked the hotel and the location was so convenient.
