Hilltop Villas at Bluebeard's Castle by Capital Vacations

It was all a last minute reservation as the resort was able to get me a beautiful room facing the ocean. My kids were so happy and impressed by the hotel front desk staff. Especially, watching their mother be treated with respect and accommodated with the help of the assistant/manger who knew Sign Language easing the communication gaps. Thank you St. Thomas!

I have stayed here twice and it has never disappointed me. This is definitely the condo you want to rent is very safe. Staff is amazing clean the pool. Stay open really late for the kids. I love it.

Had a great time here with my family. The Villas were amazing and the room had everything you needed. Will return here if we ever come back to St. Thomas.

The facility is very nice. Room was great and had a wonderful view. And there's an amazing view from the pool area. I don't know if they have any rooms with 2 beds though- so limiting if travelling with a family. There's a bed and a pull out couch. I emailed the property through expedia about 10 days prior to arrival and never heard back. The front desk staff were generally pretty grumpy. It is not a particularly walkable area at all- so lots of taxi rides - but I think that is the norm for the island and not unique to this facility.

Our room and the grounds at Bluebeard’s castle were very clean. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Our children loved the pool, the treasure shop and touring Bluebeards castle. We had a wonderful experience.

First the views from the Hilltop and Pirates Pension are AMAZING. Post card IG worthy. Simply beautiful and jaw dropping. I’ve stayed at several resorts on the island and the service here is unmatched. First the location to town makes this the ideal place to stay but everyone makes you feel so welcomed. Everyone we met from the front desk, to the convenience store, bell hop and maintenance center was nice. We booked here for a couple of days then left when town had the water main break, but loved it so much that we returned to spend the last few days of our trip here . The entire staff go above and beyond, Ms. Latrice, Kenisha, Ms. Jackie, Shaun, and a few other ladies whose names I forget were absolutely wonderful. The units are renovated and lovely. We could cook, or just chill out at the hot tub and pool. The restaurant’s food was really good. Jeff and Valencia had amazing energy. The resort had fun events like a local band on Wednesday nights and Karaoke on Tuesday nights. They also had a shuttle to town to go shopping on Mondays. We absolutely enjoyed other stay so much that we looked into ownership. Everyone we met made our stay enjoyable. We also took a tour of the castle for $5 per person. It was easy to get a taxi and taxis to town were only $6 per person it was also easy to walk from the safari route . Thank you for a wonderful stay. My family and I felt safe and welcomed and it was also kid approved.

I’ve stayed all over the island and the hospitality here is unmatched and absolutely Amazing!!! The resort is close to town, close to the safari routes and if you don’t feel like the trek down the hill, taxis are extremely easy to get. We never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a taxi. Everyone was so hospitable and nice, from the bellhop, maintenance and everyone at the front desk. Out of all of the resorts and hotels we’ve stayed at on the island, the service and hospitality here was the best and it was a FUN resort. The views from the hilltop and pirates pension were AMAZING, IG and postcard worthy. The view of the harbor and Crown Bay was just breathtaking. The pool and hot tub area were well maintained. Now onto the fun, They have a free shopping trip to town on Mondays, Karaoke Tuesday and a really good live band on Wednesdays. We would absolutely stay again. My kids and I loved staying here and didn’t want to leave. Everyone we met at the front desk was always welcoming, and went above and beyond, thank you to Ms. Latrice, Kenisha, Ms. Jackie, Shaun and a few other ladies whose names I forget. All of them were amazing. Hope to see you all again.

I liked that this property was within walking distance to shopping, restraunts , and activities. The front desk people were very rude and unhelpful. Lady that tan the small store on site had her kid in store hitting me while She was on the phone. When I did get her attention to help me She seemed inconvenienced. The valet guys were awesome!! The girl at the trip planning desk was friendly but gave us misinformation. Would not book with this Villa again.

The sheets had blood stains on them. The front desk was rude and in fact yelled at me. Then called back to apologize. Insane customer service! The bar and restaurant were fantastic; the store onsite is a day care.. I say the last part with hesitation; the mom bringing kids to work to earn a living I respect; doing it while I’m on vacation at the resort I paid money at is not ok. I didn’t know where to stay; do yourself a favor and move on to the next option.. oh; and I had to take my own trash out and room cleaning is not offered daily. Eat at the restaurant; drink at the bar; stay somewhere else! You have been informed to not make the same mistake We did

Unfortunately my experience here was not so good. This establishment had experience new management and they suck. It is not a diverse type of environment anymore. The prior management team had service members that were extremely kind and helpful. This was not the case anymore. There were not children activities and game like they once had. The ones with security shirts on were annoying and bias some of them treated one people one way and colors and latinos another way. The restaurant waiters are not very kind and they treat you differently when you are a certain skin color also. To be honest it seem like a elderly home for white people. There was alot of discussion from this one older white guy who was discussing what sounded like a week blackout situation etc. Look if you have family and are not of Caucasian decent do not stay here. Not worth the good money you sepnd to stay here. We are all hard working people that deserve a pleasant vacation no matter what color our skin is period! Hilltop Bluebeard shame on you disgusting.
