Hilton Makkah Convention Hotel

Family room, had the most fantastic view of the Haram from 21st floor. Clean and kept tidy. Cleaner kept room with 5ppl in tidy every day. The journey to haram was approx 5 min from room. Summer, so hotel was not too busy. Up hill return - means it would be difficult for elderly and frail, especially in heat. But there were ppl with wheelchairs happy to assist. Good for young family with teenagers.

From start to finish, our stay was amazing. We booked a family room, and the view was breathtaking. Full view of masjidul haram. From check in to check out everything was perfect. Staff at check in, very friendly and helpful. Cleaning staff, restaurant staff, couldn’t ask for any more. It’s about a 4-5 minute walk to the start of the mosque and another 5 minutes to the gate 79 which is the umrah gate. I would definitely book it again in the future and recommend it to families. There is a bit of an uphill walk back to the hotel which can get tiring after umrah but we managed it with 3 children.

We were a family of 4 who stayed for 5 days in 2 rooms during August for Umrah. First issue is that there are 2 Hilton's near to one another and access is not straightforward for taxis - so make sure the taxi driver takes you to Hilton Convention and not Hilton Suites [signage is not good]. The hotel is purpose built and very large. The public areas are elegant and clean. We stayed on the top 23rd floor but never had issues waiting for lifts etc. We had a limited view of the Haram which was nice. The rooms are very comfortable and large. Bathrooms are also a good size and well equipped. Housekeeping does not visit daily but if you pass them in the hallway and request service they oblige quickly. Breakfast service was always quite busy when we visited around 10am [it ends at 10:30] so there were often waits around some of the cooking stations. But there were always tables available and the staff did try to help. Food selection was excellent with a range of Western and Eastern options available. Whilst selection was good, the quality of the baked goods was below average. We visited for Umrah and it's a 5 minute downhill walk to the Haram area. Jabal Omar is also the taxi waiting area so taxis from front entrance are plentiful if you need to go elsewhere. There are lots of eateries and shops in the malls facing the Haram, though none bar the hotel's own restaurants, at the Hilton itself. Overall, a great hotel in a good location for access to Haram.

We enjoyed our stay so much. It is walking distance , breakfast is great, staff are friendly , the room is spacious and clean. I definitely recommend it for families and others. Thank you very much.

The hotel is in a very good location .. walking distance of about 5 minutes to the haram - but it is a steep climb over the road, so not suitable for elderly or wheel chair … the bus from the Haramain Train (7A) stops at Jabal Omar bus station 8 is just 2 minutes walking distance to the hotel - which is a plus. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Worth it for a solo traveler, young couples or young families. Rami at reception was helpful. All staff were extremely helpful.

It was wonderful to stay in Hilton hotel, very friendly staff members, nice tidy rooms, delicious variety of food, Amazing to perform Prayers with Haram mosque in your room/ prayer area. Highly recommended for family, willing to stay near Haram.

Rooms were very spacious and clean- very good view of haram extension. If you are traveling with old folks or children be prepare for the hike it's very steep. Staff was great and cause they are away from main front hotels they care about customer service. They delivered our complimentary service in room and there was no extra charge. One key thing to note here is that Google shows it's a 5 min walk from haram but for older folks it's next to impossible. You will end up paying in taxis for transportation as they cannot climb the hill. Remember the hotel is called jable Omer Hilton aka mountain Omer Hilton and it is on top of a hikl

Stayed with family. Got Haram view room. Reception staff and room service was ok. Price was reasonable in comparison to surrounding hotels. We checked out at 2pm and hotel allowed us to leave our luggage’s with them for further three hours. This was really helpful for us as our flight was not until 10pm. Thank you Hilton Conventional hotel.
