Hotel La Fenice Et Des Artistes

The hotel and staff were amazing! We absolutely loved our room. The room has a Venetian interior, was spacious and clean. The view was lovely. The staff were professional and friendly. They upgraded our room which we really appreciated. The location was great and it felt safe. We will definitely be coming back and will be recommending the hotel to our family and friends.

The beds in the junior suite were terrible. The mattress on the twin bed was 1 inch thick and had metal bars beneath. The queen mattress was hard as a rock.

In the middle of a hot summer in Venice, the air conditioner in our room was not working, and the hotel did not fix it or offer us an alternative room. The room was very noisy, on top of a busy restaurant with patrons talking loudly unitl 3:00am. Moreover, the room was very basic (thin and comfortable mattress; no floor rugs or slippers were provided to deal with the cold tile floor in the room). The location is great, but we were very disappointed with the conditions in the room and with the unhelpful, and at times rude and dismissive attitude of the lady in the reception that we had to deal with. We will not recommend it to family and friends!
