Hotel Sepia

We were a group of 15 families who booked three nights for a hockey tournament with our 13 year old kids. Management knew this at booking time. We had requested a conference room for the Friday and Saturday night so that the kids could hang out together and play together after their games. Surprise!! The conference rooms were not available to us. When we returned from our tournament games which were late at night both evenings (around 11pm) the hotel’s clerk named Stanley came up to the corridor aggressively and said he would call the police. And he did!! This is zero customer service! The hotel made over 10,000$ of revenue from our group, was aware that it was a hockey group with teenage kids, did not probably manage to put the entire group together in adjoining rooms and especially failed to provide the conference room for both nights as had been promised. So DO NOT book this hotel if you are a group or if you have kids. Not kid friendly. Not family friendly. There are far better choices to choose from in Quebec City and in Ste-Foy.

Staff are bilingual. The two couples ahead of us took an extraordinary amount of time to be checked in but our check-in went quickly. Rooms are modern, clean and well appointed. Shower is hot, bed is comfy and rooms are quiet...even with families with small children nearby. There are 3 EV high powered level 2 chargers on the property which is great.

Sepia was a good place for our family to stay. The price felt right for the location and parking was easy. The room was perhaps a bit tight, but it was a decent enough fit for our family and was in good condition when we arrived. Our main complaint is possibly more subjective than it is strictly an issue with the hotel: We found the beds to be far too soft for our comfort and the room felt humid. Otherwise, the hotel played its part adequately.
