We arrived at the property and observed receptionist telling another customer that system was down and they could not check them in. We waited in line for nearly 30 minutes and the receptionist never acknowledged my family and I. We ended up leaving and booking an entirely different hotel! Would not recommend this property to ANYONE. Also, the property looked dirty and outdated.

Horrible perfume smell I can assume to hide the smell of dead bodies. Would not check me in because I was a half hour early. THERE WAS NO ONE STAYING HERE. All red flags and I should’ve known. Let me check in, I asked location of pool, it was closed. I have kids, why would you not tell me that the pool was closed. Very unhelpful and opposite of hospitality. DO NOT TRUST RATING, it was horrifying and I left. I will be contacting all forms to warn others

Close to family, smell like bug spray. Breakfast was horrible, cold eggs and they were stirred to so much looked like minced granules. The food was not fresh.
Front desk arrival was rude, and returning the key card he never said a word, not a thank you or acknowledgment I was there. Very disappointing again. And Parker fee of 20 dollars ridiculous for that neighborhood.

Described as “easily accessible to Fallsview Indoor Waterpark” we arrived to find it 1.6 miles away….We requested a cancellation and refund and were denied.
The common areas were dated. Rooms were large and appeared freshly updated.
Expect many up-charges: $20 for parking, resort fees, $10 per child (if more than 2 people in your group).
Bottom line, it costs less and is considerably more convenient to choose a name brand hotel closer to downtown. Avoid the poor choice that we made, and look elsewhere.

rooms were clean and spacious. microwave and fridge in room are convenient. Breakfast was nice and service there was good.
Past that, things were less great.
friends in another room asked why there was no microwave, and were told that the fire marshal had them removed it due to faulty wiring (!?!??)
parking fee of $20/day grants you permission to park in an open lot behind the hotel with dim lighting.
Many fees racked on to Expedia rate - resort fee (?), 'additional person fee' (for a room booked for a family of four), and some wonky administrative fee, which the reception could not explain. 2e assume this is a 'because we can and you can't do anything about it" fee...
receptionist was not friendly, seemed very standoffish and provided rote answers.
sometimes, the front-end staff can make a vacation. this was not one of those times.

We visited for a family reunion at McFarland Park at Niagara on the Lake. The hotel was convenient to Niagara Fall, Niagara on the Lake and St. Catharines. The breakfast was sumptuous. We walked to the Whirlpool Aero Car and the sunsets were spectacular.

Came here for last 5 years, but new management changes are very disappointing. The property now charges for extra guests beyond the first 2 (most hotels do not as room rate is based on 2-4 people occupancy) So families beware, this was not the case for many years but is now, we were charged an extra $80 dollars. The rooms, although clean and ample, they have now removed microwaves from the rooms - which when you have small children is disappointing. The phone did not work, so we couldn't call front desk other than through our cells. They now also charge for parking $20 per night, again they never did this prior to Jan 2023 - it would not be a problem if the parking lot was repaired, but it is in TERRIBLE condition, torn up, pot holes all over. The front desk staff is not the same, for years we had the loveliest, most warm and welcoming front desk attendants, now it is a smug manager (who lied about the $80 dollars) and a very nice but not as warm other attendant. The breakfast has also changed, although we never expected much it is nothing more than pre-packaged processed snacks, it used to be better. The front desk won't help you if you have loud upstairs neighbours, we had ignored the first night when they walked around the room, were loud and stayed up until 3:30am but the second night they did the same, we called front desk but they did nothing, when the loud party continued, we called again but since they do not have 24hrs anymore no one answered. Will not be returning.

The staff was super friendly and very helpful. That's where the good times end. The rooms are cold, the heaters are very weak and old and heat up the cold room very slowly, after a full day of the heater on, only then was the room warm enough to have our kids take off their jackets. The pool was also cold and we had to request the maintenance guy to put it up to room temperature. At the end of the trip we were suprised with a double hit of a hotel/resort fee, once on the hotel bill and once more on the parking bill - why would I pay that twice?!? Still haven't heard back from management concerning that question.

Pool temperature is perfect for small kids and adults alike.
