The area is lovely and having the hotel above the market was great. The toilet in our room was leaking and running constantly and wasn’t fixed even after reporting it. I attempted to fix it myself but I think it needed replacement parts. It was noisy all night and then construction started at 8am with kids playing loudly in the room next door and in the hallway so it was noisy all morning.

Great hotel staff and location. Received vouchers for the hotel restaurant which made this easy when travelling with a child. The food was good, good service and nice rooms, I would stay here again if I was in North Van.

The hotel placed us in a room next to an outdoor theater. It’s 11pm currently as I’m wring this review: my whole family including my little toddler have been trying to sleep for the past hour and we are still up due to the loud noise from the outside theater. Additionally, the AC runs loud like a train. I don’t think we will be able to get good sleep at all tonight as we will be checking out early tomorrow. This is unacceptable….

First time writing a review on a hotel.
The hotel is within the mall. I like it since there is a market on the ground floor.
We purchased 2 queen size bed for my husband and my 2 kids.
Most disappointing part of the room was the ants crawling all over the room. At first, we thought it was okay and we just killed them all, but we noticed that each time we kill a few ants crawling under the bed, on the bed sheets and on the wall, there's more coming. We asked the manager to change the bed sheets as we thought it might solve the problem but then later on, we see more coming and some under my blankets, on the wall and on the lamp shades. The manager witnessed the ants crawling when he inspected the room since he asked to see it.
This time, we asked that we can just check out (at that time it was almost 11pm) get a full refund or at find us another room.
They moved us to the extra room they called, the suite room with one queen bed, a sofa, and they brought an extra single bed, but looking at the room, the windows has so much bird poop. We took some pictures of it. The outdoor patio was dirty, the chairs with lots of bird poop, the floor looks like did not get cleaned for months. It was a restless night. My daughter and husband were scratching all night maybe because of the bedsheets. First ever hotel that we have been to with lots of ants, and bird poops. Worst experience. Luckily staff are friendly. We rated the hotel as 2.3. One more thing, the bed sheet had stained on it.

It was nice that the hotel provided complimentary breakfast but having the same greasy food every day was not the greatest. We were hoping there would be at least a small buffet type section with cereals, granola bars, fruits/yogurts; things like that.
The whole Quay Market and hotel are under renovations which we were not advised of prior to our arrival, coming from a different timezone and not being able to sleep due to this was really tough.
Also, little things like the intercom system ringing constantly all night (just enough to be a nuisance) and at times getting brown water from the faucets (due to the construction).
I would definitely like to stay at the hotel again some day (my wife and I were visiting family nearby), but after the renovations are completed.

The room deal got my attention but soon found out why there was deal on the room. Noisy construction work right outside my suite 7am- 11 & 2-4pm. I also found silverfish in the bathroom sink, curtains did not close properly & stains on the sheets & furniture. Was difficult to relax in that environment & reception was way more judgemental than when I previously stayed there last year, which I did not appreciate after my very long trip getting there in the first place. I tried calling front desk Several times to possibly rebook just to get disconnected repeatedly, my family tried calling the front desk on another line & same thing, disconnected calls. Parkinglot & location need major renovations, I did not sleep a wink & will not be going back anytime soon. This place was so much better last year.

A repeat visitor to the hotel (with grand babies nearby). Always enjoyable. Facility is getting close to needing refurbishment. Avoid level 3 rooms on the Northside if you are uncomfortable with the though of someone peeking into your window (I never saw anyone but it is a public walk way).

Excellent hotel, clean, modern, renovated room with many shops, services, and transit options within short walking distance. Thank you for the late checkout option. This was my fourth stay at this hotel and I would not hesitate to recommend it to another traveller or family.

Great location. Parking with a Ford F-150 was not easy around that area and very challenging. We had a lot of luggage because of a baby and had to make several trips to the parkade as there is no loading or unloading available at the hotel.
Great atmosphere in the hotel and surrounding area with plenty to do and see. Location is easy to get to. We love this hotel and have stayed many times
