Holiday Inn Calgary South Conference Center, an IHG Hotel

Wonderful family friendly hotel!

It is definitely the hotel for young families, not for those without families or on vacation from their families

This Hotel was very sloppy in hallways and lobby areas. Smoking areas were just outside front entrance door. Very poorly placed especially for family's being exposed to second hand smoke. No way to avoid it.

The hotel and staff was nice enough but the restaurant wasn’t great and left us both feeling fairly sick the rest of the night. Also there was a U14 kids hockey team staying there and they were beyond disruptive and rude running down the halls, banging on doors and being an overall nuisance and nothing was done about it. Overall the hotel could’ve been good but the stay was awful.

The only complaint I have is the continental breakfast. Definitely was not even close to being enough food for one grown adult the child’s menu was was absolutely ridiculous. I don’t know how old the kids are feeding, but definitely was not enough food, and it said fruit on the menu there was no food to be had. I went down in the morning to grab a coffee and wait before my children would wake up, but they would not hurt me to coffee unless I paid for it, or give them my voucher which was absurd. overall my stay with this holiday inn was good. Besides, the continental breakfast part was the worst I have ever been in my entire life and I travel and stay in a lot of hotels around the world, and in Canada, and especially in Alberta will never ever ever go to that hotel again because the continental breakfast is unacceptable.

The restaurant was very nice Could have done without all the screaming children in the pool found it difficult to find time to go and just enjoy the water Took a very long time for the phone to be answered so long that we called about 4 times and had to give up and actually go to the lobby to extend our stay by an hour

The place was good but it was a bit loud. There was a large family on my floor that let their kids run up and down the halls and in and out of their various rooms well past midnight. Not really the hotel’s fault, but it did highlight how well you can hear everything in the halls very clearly through the room doors and walls.

We liked your property . We just found a lot of noise in the hallways . Lots of kids running up & down hallways . Don’t get me wrong we love kids , but I am sure they could find something else to do . And it was noisy in the early morning as well .

We stayed 5 days and the place was great. Would go back again. No breakfast option included with our price plan, but the front desk did comp us one free breakfast on our last day, so for a family of 6 it was a nice surprise.

Great place for a family vacation. The room was very clean and comfortable, lots of parking and the kids loved the pool. We took advantage of all the close quick breakfast choices on our way out to explore Calgary so I can't comment on the breakfast at the hotel but the dinner as great even with a 5 and 7 year old. The service was perfect an the food was delicious. We would definitely stay there again.
