Overall the hotel was very nice they were doing renovations..they are very nice. We stay there twice a year while visiting family.always enjoy staying there. Only thing i noticed and not a complaint for me. They got rid of the tubs for just a shower stall, which might not work for families with little ones.

The staff was extremely friendly and professional. However, the cleanliness of the room was subpar. As soon as I got into my room and went into the bathroom, I noticed that there were toothpaste stains still on the counter. The hotel was extremely loud and children were running around all throughout the hours of the night. I will say, however, that I was traveling the week of spring break. The water, when taking a shower, was only lukewarm but I am one that likes a very hot shower.

call the desk twice in middle of the night people next door fighting over a three hour ordeal cops had to come and throw them out so we paid for a night for NO sleep. The facility refused us any compensation, and a nonsmoking facility! Our room totally stinks!!! Wallpaper pealing and a hole by the bathtub , Had to borrow freebreeze from desk to help with the room stink. One elevator didn’t work. The other floor was all busted up. We stay there every year to visit family because we did live in the area, No more

This was a last minute reservation to try to lift my kiddos spirits up. The heated pool was broken and that was the entire reason for this stay...so my kid could swim. Then the USB chargers didn't work in the bedroom and I didn't bring any charging blocks because there was supposed to be USB connectors to charge. So, my kid couldn't use their phone or iPad after it died. Both key cards would stop working and we would have to go get them reprogrammed after waiting 10 minutes for the elevator. There are signs everywhere stating there is a no noise tolerance, but somebody was banging on walls, stomping and slamming doors almost the entire night. We made the most of it and he still decided to swim in freezing water with it being 30 degrees outside.

Have stayed here 2 times in past 2 months and both times have been alot noise. I know kids will be kids, but parents need to be parents and be considerate of orher guest and quit letting kids run up and down the halls, slamming doors at 1am .. probably wont be back here to stay 0for 2 when it comes to to a nice stay...wont get the chance to go 0-3

I slept like a baby, however husband and 2 daughters said they didn't sleep well...not enough pillows for them. This was just a place to sleep for the night, as we were visiting our daughter at college. The place was nice but could definitely use some updates. The carpet in our room had stains everywhere. The shower had mold in the corners of the grout.

The bathroom had mold in it, the sheets had not been cleaned and had someone else's hair in them. Not a little, but a lot of hairs. There was crushed m&ms on the floor that were there the moment I stepped in, and the toilet's mechanisms were rusted over and smelled. It was clear my room was not cleaned beforehand and was a health hazard. Neighbors were extremely loud with children outside yelling in the evening and banging on windows. The hotel is also next to impossible to find due to insufficient signage and terrible location.

Check in was super easy. Our room was at the end of the hall next to the outside door which was nice. The bed was comfy and the jacuzzi was nice. It did have a slight cold water leak that didn’t really bother anyone until the tv was off and we were trying to get to sleep. Once we got to sleep though it wasn’t a big issue. The breakfast was really good and the kids were able to swim in the pool again before we left that morning. We will definitely be coming back. Thanks for the mini getaway ☺️

We come to WV 3-4 times per year to visit family, & we always stay at this Wingate by Wyndham. The beds are comfortable, the towels are soft & absorbent, & overall, they keep the place clean. The staff is usually friendly, & always responsive to requests.
The negatives: The place could really use a refresh. In the rooms, furniture & carpet are getting a little shabby. Walls could use a painting. Bathrooms are kept clean, but there was something black in the corners of the tub where it met the wall tiles. Don't think it was mold; maybe just ground-in grime.
It's nice & convenient that breakfast is included, but they could do a better job of serving healthier food. All the bread products (bagels, English muffins, etc.)were white bread products. Would have been nice to have some wheat or whole grain bread. Also, no skim milk or yogurt. The same scrambled eggs were served EVERY day (we were there for a week), usually with biscuits & sausage gravy. Sometimes there was bacon, but it was completely undercooked. They did have fresh fruit, but none of it was summertime fruit (no blueberries, no strawberries, no canteloupe, no grapes, no plums, no nectarines) ... just apples, oranges & bananas EVERY day. They really need to add some variety!
They don't come in to clean your room on a daily basis unless you make a specific request at the front desk - but they don't tell you this when you check-in. They should come in every day to at least empty the trash!
