Newly remodeled Cabin and we were to first to stay in it. It was clean but you could tell they rushed on some of the remodel(unfinished edges, paint mishaps ect) This is a basic cabin with a small kitchen area and basic furniture. If you are planning to stay with family/friends and want to entertain space is limited and the furniture is NOT for comfort. Couch is from the 70's and cushions kept falling out the back side because they left a board out. Also no internet/Wifi at the Cabins and cells service is spotty.
Unfortunately a rain storm came thur on night 2 of our stay and caused a leak in the upper bedroom, soaking one side of the bed. They did come and fix leak and replace bedding but still an inconvenience.
The staff was very nice and did their best with any request we had but like stated before this is a basic cabin with very basic amenities.

We had a great experience at the property the male receptionist was awesome the first day. He showed us around and was very nice. The pool on property was clean. The cabins were cute and quant decorated with fall decor. Food in the restaurant at Coolfont was good. There is a pond with a fountain we took an evening still around with our dog and kids. It was great! However, when checking out the female receptionist was a little rude. Other than that we will be back it was a beautiful pit stop on our drive back from Virginia Beach to Buffalo NY.

My room was a king bed with a
Jetted bathtub. I loved my room and it's location which overlooks the lake and had a private balcony. If you have trouble with steps, they have beautiful rooms on the first floor in the treetop lodge. I didn't get to see any of the cabin rentals because that's not my interest.
The staff runs this place as a team. Jonathan checked me in and he was so cordial and helpful. He helped me bring my bags to the room and acclimated me to the property. Destiny and Alana took care of me every night for dinner and they treated me like family. Whatever you do, save room for Miss Harriet's desserts. I had the cheesecake almost nightly, and it was so decadent.
Their gym needs some new equipment and some repairs to their treadmills but I was able to use the small barbells and get into the salt water pool daily to get my exercise.
They just dredged the lake and it is filling up 6 inches a day and I'm so excited, that next month when I return to Berkeley Springs, I'll be able to go kayaking.
I came here so stressed (inside my guts's) and I'm leaving here so relaxed and feeling pampered. It literally took me five minutes to drive into town to go to a local spa, the salt cave, and Charlotte's café.
This is my favorite day trip and now it's just become my favorite trip. Hands-down, the best!

Very clean, super friendly staff. The pull out couch could use an upgrade, it was uncomfortable for my teen kids, other than that we were pleased. Fun jacuzzi in the room !

A very nice relaxing vacation spot that had entertainment for the whole family. Very close to the historic areas and parks. Every meal we had in the restaurant was exceptional.

The room was great, loud neighbors with kids out late at night was a pain. Workout facility is circa 1970s- equipment barely functioning, elliptical, treadmill not even plugged in. Pool was nice

We stayed for a weekend with our kids (10 and 7) and had a wonderful time. The resort has been completing renovations on different facilities since reopening a few years ago. Our suite in the Woodland House was one of the updated facilities, and it was very comfortable and spacious. Our kids slept on the pull-out couch and said it was pretty comfortable. The room was bigger than I expected and had a nice balcony. The indoor pool was one of the main draws for us, and the kids spent most of the day swimming. The pool facility is still being fixed up (the sauna and hot tub are not working, but we knew this) and it feels a little dated, but it was certainly clean enough and a very nice, big space for swimming. The max depth wasn't marked but was no more than 5 ft, which was also nice for kids. We really enjoyed the restaurant. It was convenient and reasonably priced, the food was great, and there were enough different dishes that we were all content eating there both nights. Great beer selection, too. There were a few small issues with the service - forgotten soups/salads, not realizing there was a kids' menu to offer us, etc - but overall everyone was friendly. The front desk staff were amazing and I was impressed by each person I interacted with. The lobby is really cozy and inviting, and I appreciated the free coffee and tea available at all hours. It's not super fancy, but it was a pretty good deal for what it offered. We would definitely go back!
