Me and my family loved the stay there. It was nothing we didn't like.

We actually stayed 8 nights at this location and LOVED it. I was traveling with my husband and 2 kids. We booked a room with a kitchenette which was perfect because did not want to buy every meal out. The kitchen did not have a stove (just a stove top) which would have helped a lot. Our room was spacious enough for us to put two toddler beds on the floor and was very clean.
We also felt very secure which is so important to me especially when traveling with kids. The location seemed safe and so did the hotel.
We loved the complimentary breakfast. The hot bar part changed literally every day and we didnt have the same meal for each of the meals we had there. They had something for everyone! The complimentary breakfast buffet area and dining area was very clean the entirety of the stay.
Having the free parking really helped cut down on costs. We ran into a situation where my husband and daughter were stranded (due to our vehicle breaking) and the hotel immediately helped us with getting a shuttle to the airport so I could rent a car to pick them up. The shuttle driver drove safe and was pleasant to talk to.
My only complaint would be the pool. The water was ice cold. We only swam once because of the issue, it was clean though.
I would still put this as a 5 star rating because honestly everything else was perfect. Great location to metro, free shuttle service, clean hotel, friendly staff, great breakfast, felt safe, plenty of kid tv channels, quiet. Thank you Homewood!

The pool and breakfasts were big hits with our kids. We had an issue with our bathroom that took a while for staff to resolve (almost 24 hrs) but they worked to make it right with us, which we appreciated! We’d stay here again as it’s very convenient for families.

1- The room didn't smell fresh despite my call and message -before arriving- stating that my kids have sever allergy to dust and mold.
2-The shower head was not clean and the bathroom has No fan, disgusting!
3- The room was too small for 6 people.
4- When we shared our discomfort with the staff and asked to change the room, they gave us a hard time. They moved us to another room that is very much the same.
5- We've been Expedia valued customers for long time, and we mostly stay at one of the (Hilton) hotels. Over the years and within many locations, this property -by far- was the least!

The desk person checking us in was extremely rude. And treated is like we were children. She should not be working with the public.

No blankets for the 5th person in my family. No hot water. MGN was supposed to reimburse up to 25% of my bill for the inconvenience. Put us in a handicap room. It wouldn’t have been as bad if they would have turned on the hot water and gave us a blanket. Also would not move us to another room. The lady stated they were all booked up. Also stated their blankets were out of stock. Two days of taking a cold shower.

This should have been a very good choice for families who would like to cook a little while visiting D.C. had it not been the ant attack in our room. We were promised a room at higher floors the next day upon check in but was given a room on the 1st floor instead. That room did not seem to be lived in and felt pretty damp. With that said, the hotel has been very generous to give us two adjacent rooms instead of the one room we originally booked when we told them that the two double beds in the room we first checked were way too small for two people to sleep in. So if you are planning to stay there, be aware that the beds are really only full size not queen size.

I thought the room was nice, but the second night of a four night stay the floor developed a large wet spot in the middle of the doorway. The staff is very friendly but unfortunately not helpful. Me and the kids were walking through a puddle for the two remaining also only one burner of the range worked.

I highly recommend this hotel! I arrived super late with my 5 children and husband and we were exhausted. The staff was amazing and they had our room ready for us very quickly. I am extremely happy with my stay!

We got a two bedroom suite. One bedroom the AC was not working and it never got below 75 degrees, when you walked in the heat hit you in the face. We called twice to get this fixed and/or to switch rooms. The first time, we left to get lunch and came back and it was not fixed. Called the front desk and they told us maintenance had been in and fixed it and left a note. This was not the case and no note was left. The room was still 75. Later that evening we went to take kids to pool and thought I'd stop by desk again to ask someone to come check AC. Gentleman at desk said he would look into it. Got back upstairs and asked my husband if anyone ever came and he said no. So the AC was never fixed and by that time it was too late to switch rooms. Also a tablet was left behind and did not realize it until we got home. It was very hectic trying to figure out if anyone turned it in and we had to call the hotel several times and repeatedly got the run around. One call someone said they'd call us right back and we never heard back, so again we had to call. After several attempts and being placed on hold numerous times with long waiting times, we were finally told they had it.
