During check-in, I was very disappointed with the front desk staff who noticed me waiting to check-in but didn't acknowledge. He was basically ignoring my presence and tapping on his computer keyboard. The other front desk personnel(who was ending her shift) ended up assisting me with excellent customer service. I would NOT recommend any friends or family to the Hampton Inn Crystal City or any Hilton brand hotels due to the way their policy handles last minute emergencies and early check-out. I had to checkout on Sunday although my reservation was booked until Wednesday. Hampton Inn & Suites Crystal City continued to keep me checked into the hotel to avoid refunding the remaining nights. I have been a Hilton Honors member for over a decade and never have I realized the financial burden the Hilton brand has. To keep a guest listed on the property after checkout just to avoid issuing a refund is a show of desperate finance need. This Hampton Inn & Suites in Crystal City has ruined all trust I have in the Hilton brand Hotels. My reservation was booked by a friend as a gift. I've expressed this situation multiple times to the front desk and Hilton's customer service. I was also recognized as a Hilton Honors member when I checked in. As a member, there are NO FEES for early checkout.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. Every single person we encountered was so friendly, helpful, and kind. I didnt get the lady at the fronts name with beautiful braids but she certainly made a positive impact anytime I needed help with something. She was so very kind an always wore a big bright smile. The room was immaculate and spotless. Very comfy beds and pillows. Two types of pillows. Hard an soft. You could sign into your honors account for free wifi. The parking was the cheapest anywhere offers with in an out capabilites. 33 a night for parking. The breakfast was insane! Biscuits gravy, eggs, oatmeal, berries, nuts, fruits, sausage, cereal, waffles (mini and normal). We figured wow until the next day it was a completely different delicious breakfast. Maple sliced big sausage with fried potatoes, eggs, waffles, all the other stuff. They had salsa out for the potatoe day. Just incredible an I found that this was always something not mentioned in other reviews in detail. As a family of 5 having such a wonderful breakfast at the hotel made our trip longer because we could eat an go walking seeing the sights and make it until lunch time before having to pause things to find food. Absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone with a family or even if just for a night stay. You WILL NOT be disappointed!! Its also one block from the crystal city metro! Perfect location!

Could not get thru to front desk. And if I did was put on hold. Eventually reached someone and I told them during a diaper change my baby had peed on the bed. They told me housekeeping was gone and they couldn’t do anything to help. Denied towels also because housekeeping was gone. Was laughed at when I asked about a military discount.

We stayed in the Single King Suite. It worked out great as it has 2 rooms. Large Kitchen area, Sink, Microwave, Frig and coffee maker Sofa bed and Large TV with Office desk, cabinet under TV to store items and power strip to charge phones. Other room has King bed, Large TV, Cabinets and closet to hang clothes. I snore bad, so I took comfortable sofa bed in first room and my 2 sister closed the door and shared King bed. Made getting dress easier, silence at night and King was nice as it provided more space between them. I think this is great for Families. Only negative was large door to toilet and shower, you had to get into shower or get skinny to open door. I almost touches toilet. Include breakfast> not too many hotel in area offer free hot breakfast, it changed every morning> Eggs, Meat options that varied, biscuits\gravy . Every morning> fruit, Breads & pastries, cereals, Waffle makers with basics and fancy sprinkles and topping for kids. Also few blocks from Metro and food places

The property was great! Traffic in front of the hotel where you enter/ exit the parking garage was terrible! We waited for over 20 minutes to attempt to leave the garage Sunday night, 11/27 and gave up on our plans to meet our kids for dinner. Very disappointed. There should be an alternate way to exit the garage.

The night i was scheduled to check in, me andfamily was delayed and missed check in and my room was given to someone else, but the staff was able to accommodate us by arranging for us to stay at the hotel next door and we had free breakfast with our reservation so they provided us with a voucher for the other hotel. The stay was just overnight, but we were satisfied with the swiftness in the accommodations that were made.

Overall, this was a great stay. The shuttle was SUPER convenient (and quick), the breakfast was tasty and varied. However...on our last night in the room, about 9 PM, we saw a cockroach running across the floor. A huge, 2 inch long, roach. Now, we're relatively understanding people. Bugs are everywhere. People bring bugs into hotels all the time. So I'm not blaming the hotel for the roach. But I didn't expect to see one THAT BIG in a hotel that appeared so well kempt and clean. Thankfully it was on our last night. We considered calling and asking for a new room, but didn't want to pack up the baby and all our things for our final 9 hours in the hotel.

Stayed here in April when a renovation was ongoing. We did not have any disturbance from construction, the lobby was warm and inviting and the breakfast more than adequate. Room was clean and updated. Stayed here this past weekend (October 2022) and the renovation is still ongoing. The lobby is in progress (I think?) it’s a bit cold and uninviting in my opinion, but the breakfast area furniture is a nice upgrade. I booked a room with two double beds and ended up in an accessible room with one king bed (my plans changed slightly so it was okay— but not what I booked). The room was tidy but the blinds were broken and couldn’t be opened, there was handprints on the dresser, and tissues were all just stuffed into the box in the bathroom. The shower head is also only handheld, there’s no way to set it up and actually shower. The biggest complaint though (and hopefully this is temporary!) is that the elevator did not work. This would not have worked in my April stay with my toddlers, solo this time was an inconvenience but also a bit of a safety issue. The stairwell on the lobby level opens to the outside of the hotel with no key access anywhere. Anyone off the street has access to every floor of this hotel. No one was checking who was entering at the stairwell.
I love the convenience of this hotel to metro and some restaurants nearby but until renovations are complete and safety addressed, I will not be staying here again.

Was charged $38 even though we did not park there (used off site overnight parking for the duration of our trip) and in addition to that at 3:30am on our way out- the elevator was out of service! Walked NINE flights with 6 pieces of luggage, one car seat and two toddlers. Zero apology or compensation from the GM who was present at time of checkout. The girl at the desk, Christina, was extremely remorseful and apologetic. Definitely NOT coming back nor recommending to others.
