Our second stay here, and we’ll likely return. Friendly, family-run budget hotel very convenient to I-91 and the greater Brattleboro area. Consistently clean, comfortable, good night’s sleep, good value for money. Free WiFi, parking, coffee/basic breakfast options.
Taco place down the street (Tito’s) is also well worth checking out.

For a ski weekend, we (dad and two kids) booked this property given the price point. The staff were very friendly and the beds/pillows were comfortable. Although, it is right off a main road, the room was very quiet. It was perfect for our one night stay. However, there are a few things that management could do to improve the experience. 1) nail down the heads of the nails (room 208) that are sticking out of the floor (we have holes in two sets of ski socks that in aggregate cost half the price of the hotel stay) 2) just take a few minutes while cleaning the bathrooms to take the paint splatter off the toilets and other (this would enhance the stay for some). In summary, this is a GREAT place for the price point, but if you have a significant other that has trouble with "rough edges," avoid this and pay more.

I was on the first floor, 7 rooms past the front desk. Twice, at 915pm and 930pm, another guest stepped out into the hallway to call out in full voice that they did not appreciate all the noise, and they wanted it quiet. There was no other noise, and i had just fallen asleep with my grandchild at the time. No one from the hotel addressed this. And at 815am in the breakfast room a guest spilled a full cup of coffee against the refrigerator and onto the floor and left. One guest went out and told the staff. Another guest (me) did as well 10 minutes later. No one came to address the issue until 840am. There were 8 other people in the breakfast room at the time sitting or trying to use the toaster. There were 3 other workers standing in the laundry room unoccupied at the time.

This is a motel which once would have cost 29.00 but 100.00 is the new 29.00. Very basic. Phone did not work. Bad cable TV... only Fox News (please! Are you kidding me?) Free coffee which was nice. Hallways smelled old but room was decent and very simple. Thin blanket and bedspread: I feel like I should travel with my own blanket! I can never forget that sheets get changed but blankets and bedspreads .... not so much. Room was a little beat up but clean. Remote looked funky. Check in was fine, people were friendly, lot of workers staying there, security of lot seemed safe. My 2nd door lock did not work: note to self a few short pieces of wire will secure a door lock. All in all.... a low price place in decent shape in a great little town.

The town of Brattleboro is having obvious social struggles. Though not clear until checking in was that many residents of the hotel are on State vouchers of some kind as they are struggling in some way as well... homelessness, addiction, joblessness, etc. This information came directly from my conversations with those residents. The 1st night from 1-3 AM, a "mom" that left her children that night unattended arrived to find her door locked from the inside by her unattended children. She proceeded banging, yelling, pulling on door handles for two hours until the children, police, and management finally got the door open. I made a call to management in those moments and in the morning, I approached management and was only offered a worthless apology. The room was a smoking room in its past and obnoxiously smelled. Sinks drain slowly and the bathroom door knob was Mcgyvered and would lock you in the bathroom if not careful in the middle of the night. The outside grounds were littered with cigarette butts. The hotel is squeezed in between a Wendy's and a McDonald's so expect that litter on premises too. Both restaurants have full-time panhandlers as well. Yes, I could have left but I was assured this place was far "safer" than the other stays in the area. Luckily there was a wooden dowel holding the window closed that I could grip tightly in the middle of the night as a "welcomed guest" at this "business"??
