Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Keene Downtown

This property is very neat because it's in a Historical Building that is in walking distance to shopping and food/desserts! We did hear the traffic while trying to sleep. The parking with loading/unloading luggage can be tricky. If the spots in front of the hotel are taken (as they are public pay-to-park) then you may be walking a little bit of a distance. I heard you have a 15 min. parking grace period for checking in. There is free guest parking on the top of a garage behind the business parking lot in the rear. Caution: with this historical beautiful building comes "ghosts" activity. I think this property is very nice and clean and the staff are wonderful! We really enjoyed the continental breakfast. The exercise room is nice as well. Lastly, we did experience loud noises above us for hours through the night. (kids running around?) The staff was apologetic.

This is an adorable hotel in a great little town. The attached restaurant left service to be desired. When asking for a table she rolled her eyes that we have to be kidding her. We ended up somewhere else. Hotel is loud from the street. And the bed is very uncomfortable. The pull out sofa also uncomfortable. Not terrible for one night. It’s clean and has great service. Everyone provides information about the town.

Exceptional hotel in the perfect location in downtown Keene. We were in town to visit family for the holiday, and could not have picked a better location, close to excellent restaurants, bars, coffee shops etc. Rooms were enormous (we were in suites), super clean, and with comfy beds. Complimentary breakfast was very generous-with fresh egg options and plenty of fresh fruit and juice, very clean and well attended to. Staff was wonderful. Had a minor issue at check in that was resolved immediately and professionally. We were extremely happy with our stay and plan to stay again whenever we are in town. Highly highly recommend.

We stayed for one night (7/28/12) and were pleased with the front desk personnel, the room accommodations and furnishings. However, I was not pleased with the heavy footed patron in the room above us. I am not sure if it was an insulation issue or just a big goon walking around until after 11:00pm and back again at 6:45am. The complimentary breakfast was also lacking...coffee, hot tea, oj, cereal, pastries, apples and oranges were provided. We would have loved to have had hot breakfast options. That being said, the location is perfect. This hotel seems like a good fit for business travel or a couple, not so much for families.
