Hampton Inn & Suites Spanish Fork

Overall it was a great stay. We had an issue when we first arrived (which the hotel can easily fix) but once we got into our room, most everything was great. It was close to shopping, restaurants, freeway, & family. There were a few stains (shower curtain & one of the comforters), but overall it was a great place.

The staff is ignorant! Upon checking in we were told we had to pay FULL PRICE on our credit card for the so called "processing fee" and turned down to pay cash at the front desk regardless of the fact our card was already on file to reserve our room. We don't have a local bank to deposit cash back into our account. This made checkin even MORE difficult even though we selected to "PAY CASH AT CHECKIN"! We nearly lost our room and had NO WHERE to stay! Check out was just as bad if not worse. As I waited to check out, after ringing the bell at the front desk, myself and another older gentleman was waiting nearly 10 minutes. We had to ring the bell a second time which a few minutes later the man finally paused his show/movie or whatever he was watching and finally came out to help us. The look on his face told it all! He was clearly annoyed that he was interrupted by customers. The older gentleman had simply asked for a folding chair to watch his grandchildren swim. The staff member first told him no, the older gentleman had to ask again. The staff member huffed rolled his eyes and complained and said whatever as he walked away to get the folding chair. THEN it was my turn. When trying to check out he was demanding I pay CASH to checkout. I asked him why when we already paid using a credit card. He said we had to pay cash and we would be refunded the full amount back to our card within 3-7 business days! I told him NO and to just leave the charge on the card. It got WORSE!

Missed having a luggage holder--room only accommodates 1 suitcase; although the ironing board came in handy for our extra suitcase. We ALWAYS stay here when we visit our daughter and her family.
