This is a very beautiful and well-kept hotel. It looks brand new. The staff is friendly, especially the breakfast staff. The free breakfast was really nice and filling with lots of options. The rooms are clean, decorated tastefully, and well-lit. The pool was really fun for the kids. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and think this is an exceptional hotel.
The only things preventing me from giving a 5 star review are the lack of housekeeping service, the slow drain in the bathroom sink, and the murky lukewarm water in the hot tub. I didn't see any signs saying there was no housekeeping service, and the staff didn't advise me of this when I checked in. Had I known our room wouldn't be cleaned I would have planned better with towels and made the beds before I left.

Loved our stay here. Every employee was great. Our kiddos loved the pool. Breakfast was fantastic. We left a stuffed animal there that meant a lot to my 3 year old daughter and before I even got home to reach out they had already contacted me and shipped it out to us. 10/10 staff. And beautiful and clean place to stay. We won’t stay anywhere else

What a great spot! Our family stayed here on a trip through Utah’s National Parks. Everything about it was great. Spacious rooms. Clean. Comfortable. Friendly staff. We cannot recommend it enough. 5 stars across the board.

Excellent facility with even better staff. This lodge is family-owned and family-operated, and they put a lot of love and attention to making your stay as pleasant and marvelous as possible. If you are considering visiting the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument area (including the Dixie National Forest, the Bryce Canyon National Park, and the Capitol Reef National Park), you will not regret staying here. For our part, we'll be coming back as soon as we can.

This was a fantastic property! The staff was very helpful when needing to change my reservation to an earlier day and very friendly when we arrived after a long day of hiking. The property was immaculate and the beds were very comfortable. They have a pool with a basketball goal that was fun for the kids and the breakfast was very good! Needed to do laundry since we were 5 days in and the front desk worker went out of her way to help make it as easy as possible. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in this area!

Great new hotel. Comfy, clean, nicely furnished, great views, nice large pool, good breakfast. It’s got giant lights in the parking lot, which is great for safety. The only issue is the window coverings (basic blinds) don’t shut out those lights at night and they shined on our faces while trying to sleep. I don’t believe I’ve ever stayed in a hotel without blackout curtains—I guess I’ve taken it for granted! I didn’t love the pool (and hot tub especially) being crowded with moms and 10 or so kids spraying water guns. They didn’t seem to be hotel guests, and I get it’s fun for local families to have a place to swim. It just might have been nice if they’d made room for others in the hot tub or been aware of where their kids were spraying water guns (on our baby and our dry towels).

I've been to Escalante before, but this was my first time staying at Canyon Country Lodge. My take on Escalante is that accommodations tend to be somewhat rustic, but this was a comfortable/clean hotel with good amenities.
Pro's
New/clean
Comfortable bed
Quiet room.
The Included breakfast buffet was good.
Clean, indoor pool (my kids loved it!)
In-house restaurant was decent, prices reasonable.
My wife finds something to complain about for most of the hotels I book, and she liked this one and said it was great.
Con's
The TV channels were a little limited- So this is a bit of a stretch as a con, and I hardly ever watch TV at a hotel, but I wanted to watch the NCAA basketball championship after a day of hiking, only to realize they didn't get CBS.
Otherwise, no complaints.
