My kids & I loved this hotel! Great pool, common area and restaurant. Only thing that could have improved our stay would be recycling.

My family and I stayed for only a night, but it was such a peaceful, tranquil place to recharge before our big hiking day at capitol reef. The beds were super comfortable! The location is also so convenient. We were only a short drive to the national park visitor center and our first hike of the morning.

Red Sands Hotel is our family’s favorite place to stay near Capitol Reef; clean, stylish, modern, quiet, and charming.

The tub was not installed properly - room 110. Made loud noises as you moved in the shower waking up the kids (and maybe the people in the next room)

The hotel was very nice and in a quiet town. The only issue we had was we arrived in town after 9 and no food options were available, however the front desk clerk took us to the back and allowed us to get some Kraft Mac and cheese for our very hungry kids. Overall great experience.

This was the perfect place for our family of kids, parents, and grandparents as we explored Capitol Reef. Staff was helpful, the pool was a bonus, and room and common area were very nice.

It was an awesome hotel for our family! We had an elite double queen room and it was big and spacious. There were 5 of us so we got a rollaway and had plenty of room. We loved having the microwave and fridge for quick meals on the go. I highly recommend this hotel for your Capital Reef adventure!

We liked the modern, clean room and property. The beds were comfortable. The pool was nice and our family loved it. We were disappointed with the cost and the lack of breakfast. The restaurant was overpriced for what you get and the service was poor and lacked seating. The person at the front desk was very helpful. Overall it was a nice place to stay.

Pros: Thermostat/air conditioning; spa-quality lotion in the room; outdoor gas fire pit; complimentary hot chocolate/coffee/water/oranges & apples in the lobby; sun deck by the small pool; Staff member Sheri was hard working and friendly; this hotel is a short drive from a great restaurant, Hunt & Gather (highly recommend), and stargazing.
Biggest con: They overbooked the hotel, so our family was placed in a pet-friendly room (which isn't okay for someone with allergies). No discount, no spa services voucher. Just full price for a pet room. Boo!
Other cons: The eatery in the hotel is sub-par: all menu items were served in a paper to-go box with plastic cutlery even when dining in; overpriced buffet-style breakfast (cereal, pancakes, eggs); honestly, just overpriced overall (the hotel is fine, but it costs twice as much as others in town without twice the amenities/luxury).

I enjoyed my stay here. I was pleasantly surprised because some accommodations near National Parks can be less than desireable. I loved the room that had games and other activities for family’s to be entertained,
