Best Western Plus Woodway Waco South Inn & Suites

Easy to get to. Wish there was more parking closer to the door, it’s hard to wrangle 2 kids with everything when on the side of the building. But we will be back!

There was a mix of things going on. The staff is super friendly, competent, and wonderful at assisting guests. The breakfast was amazing! There is a wide variety of food and drinks. The room was large and inviting. The staff took our concerns seriously and addressed them quickly. There was a problem with the bathtub stopper. A local business teaches kids swim lessons in the pool, and the hot tub had dead ants in it. There was a K-Cup left wedged into the coffee maker in the hotel room. We only had 2 pillows on the bed and they didn't have any near by to give us 2 more. Overall, the stay was a good one for 3 nights.

I loved the staff first and foremost. I wish I would'vegotten the two ladies names so I can recognize them. It was quiet on the 2nd floor. The pool was open for the kiddos from 8am to 11pm. The jacuzzi water was pretty dirty and the jets weren't doing much, but we didnt go for the hot tub, just the pool. The free breakfast options were AWESOME! Everything in the room was clean except 2 saucer plates in the cabinets. The beds are super comfy. Overall, with the kids, it was a good stay. 👍

I’m traveling the country with my young daughters “Roadschooling”. The last month we’ve been from New Mexico to Louisiana and everywhere in between. I specifically booked this place for the indoor heated pool and hot tub for them to finally swim before heading home for the holidays. Upon check in I asked about the functionality of the pool and was pleased to hear it was in perfect working order. When we entered the pool area a woman in the pool asked if we were hotel guests I told her yes, she then told me she was going to be on one side of the pool (giving swim lessons) I was upset being that this was literally the only reason we booked here. My daughters are not great swimmers and we’re told to stay on the deep end. I went to the front desk and let them know, i basically told she didn’t see the problem and they’ve never had complaints before and literally that was that. I called best western to address my issue, not looking for compensation or refund but just to make them aware. We went up to the room after 15 mins and 6 other children arriving for lessons only to be called to the room phone from the general manager yelling at me for her points being deducted and bad review I tried to explain that I was not happy, she would not let me speak she kept talking over me and was the most passive aggressive woman I’ve ever come in contact with. She 100 percent needs to be fired. And should not ever be able to work in the customer service industry again. I will never stay again.

The room was nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The kids loved the pool. We really enjoyed the breakfast.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Fun for family who wants heated pool and fantastic free breakfast. Convenient mini kitchen in room.

We stayed over Christmas week visiting family. The entire staff was great - friendly, efficient, welcoming. A special shout-out to the gentleman who oversaw the breakfast area - he went out of his way to be helpful. Thank you!

The room was clean but the A/C unit made a very loud noise. We had to turn it off and this made the room stuffy…hard to sleep. The mattress was lumpy and the television had a line running up the middle of the screen. Not the hotel’s fault: kids ran up and down the hall knocking on doors at night and in the morning.

The girl checking us in was good. She was very helpful. We booked a suite that was noted in the description as slewing 6. There were 4 of us but we like space. When I got in and asked about it the lady said well a king bed is very large and can technically sleep 4 people and 2 on the couch. Are you kidding me? The couch was very small and it fit my 9 year old. I had to get a rollaway bed that was very uncomfortable to fit my 16 year old. We paid extra for a room that sleeps 6 and got a shoebox. It was fairly clean but the bathroom floors needed sweeping and to clean the mold out of the cracks by the tub. Very unhappy with this location. I expected better.
