The front desk staff was awesome. They made us feel like we were staying with family.

It was a great stay. We were only passing through to get home. However, I will say that the shower was a little slippery. I do appreciate the rubber mat. But when you have a toddler, 1 year old, that is barely learning how to walk, the shower felt a little unsafe. Other than that, everything was great!

The property was clean and the staff was friendly and its family friendly and pet friendly. There's some people who complain about it being around an older neighborhood, well its Waco and not a big city like Dallas or Houston and so dont expect it to be a JW Marriott in the middle of an upscale area of a major city. The Aloft is close to Magnolia and Downtown Waco and Baylor.

across the street from homeless area and section 8 housing. Lots of bad people walking around also saw prostitutes. Wouldn’t recommend taking children if you are looking for somewhere that is family friendly. Ran my card twice for the nights we stayed and twice for deposit so it locked my account on a Sunday with Monday being a holiday. Management wasn’t around to help staff for three days and showed up an hour late after she said what time she’d be there. Offered one fee night after saying these things just happen and to use a credit card next time.

The location is very bad, right across from a neighborhood that looks unsafe. I would not stay at this location alone as a female or with my kids but I was with a large male and didn’t have to go out much - so it was okay. Pick a hotel further north.
