Holiday Inn Express & Suites Paris, Texas, an IHG Hotel

Awesome great for family to stay thank you all I enjoy my stay

Reserved a suite for (3) nights, the smell of room upon entrance, bathroom clogged with vomit or food, sofa bed pillows stained, food and belongings from prior guest not cleaned or removed from room. Again room was never cleaned because you would have acknowledged all I have stated. 24hrs for sink to be unclogged and opened burrow doors food as a head of cabbages and a carton of egg shells in the draw along with kid toys.

Our room’s thermostat was broken and the AC could not cool the room (outdoor temps of 100°F ), so we asked to switch rooms. This meant splitting up our group between two floors as we needed the largest rooms, which was a slight inconvenience. Our other room was a bit warm as well, but manageable. In other Holiday Inn Expresses, they usually provide bedding for the sofa bed in the room, but we had to go down to get these from the front desk—another minor inconvenience. The front desk clerk was as helpful as he could be, but was clearly very ill and displayed symptoms of Covid (fever, headache, muscle aches). He did mask up after I mentioned we had immunocompromised family members, but I do not think he was allowed to leave, which is a shame as he was trying his best to do his job but was clearly in pain and could infect others. Because of risk of infection, we did not stay for breakfast, which is usually a nice perk with Holiday Inn Express. Other than that, the hotel was clean and the staff was courteous.

the hotel is close to food and shopping. Very comfortable. Good breakfast and nice staff. Our children love the pool and hot tub. The only issue is that a bar of soap, soap wrapper and shampoo bottles from the previous guest were left in the shower. Our overall stay was great!
