Hampton Inn Longview

We were traveling and made our reservation via Travelocity. Thank heaven we did that because when we arrived at 1am there was a line at the front desk with people checking in. One young kid at the front desk doing his best. Not sure if management didn't expect to be this busy at 1am but he was struggling. Poor planning on management. Sss as me with check out the next morning. Only one person at the front desk. Line of people checking out. Otherwise it served its purpose for us, a bed to sleep in.

Room and location were great. They put me into a room tat adjoined another. Later that night, about 11 or so, a family with 2 small children checked into the adjoining room and I had no peace. The babies cried for an hour and since there was not a complete wall between us, I colds hear everything as if they were in my room. It finally quieted about 12. Until 4 a.m. when. the baby started up again and went on until 5:30. I called the front desk and the receptionist said she would call them. She did not as I definitely would have heard their phone. I went downstairs and the only employee there told me she tried to call but they would not answer, She told me the manager would be in the next morning for my complaint. I knocked on my neighbor's door to try to resolve this myself. The neighbors were rude an uncooperative. I suggested a car ride for the baby might help because that worked for my own kids and it would keep their problem from becoming all of their neighbors' problems. The next morning, I was told the manager would not be in until the next day, but that the manager would definitely call me. Never happened. No one had any authority to take care of issues on Saturday night. The facility is new but not noise proof and the staff were very nice, but I had a long drive with my own family the next day and the lack of sleep made it miserable. I guess my recommendation is that if you really need a place for quiet, uninterrupted sleep, you may need to look elsewhere.
