Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Huntsville, an IHG Hotel

We arrived after midnight to check in after a long day of travel. The front desk attendant gave us keys to a room that was either occupied or hadn’t been cleaned yet. I opened the door and saw towels on the floor, unmade beds, and full trash cans. We went back downstairs and were assigned to a different room. Although the new room was in a better state, there was still garbage on the floor that had been left behind by the previous guests in 2 corners of the room. For a family of 3, there was only one towel in the room. When we attempted to retrieve more towels, we were told that there were none available. I have never written a bad review before and wouldn’t be considered a complainer. Knowing we spent close to $200 for what was ultimately a 6-hour stay left us feeling a little frustrated. A clean room with 3 towels is not an unreasonable expectation.

Nice big room for a good price. Comfy beds and the kids enjoyed the pool. Only issue was the tub and trying to take a shower. Some reason only got real hot water at times and never any cold water.

I have stayed in a LOT of hotels in my life but have never been as impressed as I was with Emily at this Holiday Inn! She greeted me by name when I checked in, found us a better rate than advertised, helped coordinate an additional room for family, and made me feel like I was a VIP! The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, breakfast was great, we felt safe, and special. Great experience! We will stay here every time we are in Huntsville!

The property is a very acceptable choice. Their staff is friendly. They did run out of breakfast items - coffee, eggs, sausage. I understood because it was family weekend but they should had extra help in this area. The hotel is very clean but I am seeing wear & tear so I am hopeful they keep up on fixing and or replacing stuff as we really enjoy our stay. I would recommend it. Pictures are true to what your value is and you get.

The property was nice however I ask and PAID for a queen suite that sleeps six. They said that they don’t know why you would allow me to book such a room when they didn’t have any available. I would like a refund because the two people that I was sharing a room with ended up having to go to a another hotel because they did not have A SUITE which I paid for through Travelocity. This was a very difficult time in our lives As we were there for a family funeral expecting out of town guests to be able to stay together. So I’m very disappointed with Travelocity for the first time ever please let me know what you can do for me

The room was very clean & comfortable. Check in at midnight was easy & quick. Breakfast buffet was better than most other hotels. After check-out, my family realized we left in a hurry and left behind a school issued laptop. Housekeeping and management claimed no one turned it in despite a second sweep of the room. We are certain the laptop was left behind, so when room was cleaned it was taken and not turned in. This is disturbing because I can only expect people accidentally leave expensive or sentimental items behind all the time and hope housekeeping is respectful enough to turn in for retrieval by guests.
